Green and Gold - OUT!
Pink with White Lace Trim - IN

This team is an embarrassment to Packer History. Shame on you, MM! Shame on you, TT! Murphy you haven't got a clue and you let TT drag you aound by your nose ring. Scotter McLean is looking better every game.

Let's make this a really crappy day - Minn 21 Ariz. 0 in the 1st quarter.

You knew it was going to be another banner day for the defense when Poppinga got blown off a running play by a wide receiver early in the game. It just stands to reason he should be lined up at end because if you CAN'T beat a wideout then surely you CAN beat a tackle, right?
Someone needs to explain to me what Finley did to be in there on the goal line. Yeah, let's throw more fades to him down there because it has worked so well this season.
Also, let's run more FB dive plays in crunch time. We're so good at getting a push from the O Line. Seriously?
With the exception of Pro Bowler J. Finley, do we not use TEs anymore on this team? Especially when the safeties are playing 40 yards deep?
How many throws did A-Rod over shoot to receivers that had a step? At least 3 by my count.
What is the down side of firing Bob Sanders right now? I mean it. It might be the only silver lining in this whole miserable season and give fans hope that we are not going to let this happen again next season. Let Moss or anyone else coach the defense for 2 games then see who comes free after the season. Seriously, why can't we let this nimrod go right now?

Ok, I just read that Humphrey had a concussion. At least that explains a little why Finley was in so much. Still don't like the fade to him in the red zone tho

And what makes this completely untenable is, I watched the game with my grandson, A BEAR FAN!

Let's see a likely 6-10 mark for the year. Oooopps, what makes me think this pile of crap can beat Detroit? Starting to look Shermanesque to me. 5-11 AAAAARGH!

Oh, almost forgot - the announcers talked about the pad levels of our o-line on that dive play. Lookout folks. Can you guess what's coming from the MM press conference?

I'm getting tired of the fullback dive for -1 yard, that's for sure.

On the 4th and 1 play, did anyone else see that no talent blubber butt
Wells take a belly flop to his right? And the damn play was called to the left. CRAP!

I agree with Andrew, there is no harm in firing Ted Thomps...err Bob Sanders immediately.

there is no way Mark Murphy will fire Ted Thompson in his first year. No way, no how.

I posted a bunch of times last week that TT and MM were very safe. Until today I might have even said they would get through a so-so season next year. But here's the thing - if we lose the last 2, 5-11 changes things in my view. 5-11 means the heat is on to start VERY WELL next year. Point being the leash just got shorter for 2009. Hard to believe TT and MM could have used up all their equity from 2007 this fast but I believe they are very close to exactly that

Did anyone else have that sinking feeling time after time the Packers failed to score in the 3rd quarter? Did anyone else figure out that we'd find a way to lose this one too? And did anyone else know that A-Rodge had no chance in the final drive?

Yeah, I believe it was McLaren that called that play while the Jags were still in the huddle. So, Sanders has the All-Stink tackles do outside rushes and AJ moves to left in coverage. Result the Jags didn't have to throw a block on the play.

The defense is God awful. Do the Packers have enough draft choices to rebuild both lines?

the bears are nothing special either. and it's a big rivalry game, anything can happen (see 2007-2008 season)

you can't honestly argue that we're worse than detroit.

I would like to argue we're not even close to Detroit but I can't. Detroit damn near beat Indy yesterday in Indy and we lost to a very bad 4-9 team. I would put the chances of us finishing 1-1 or worse at 75% right now

With you Andrew, unless this team can demonstrate some competence the odds of losing both their remaining games are high. Hopefully, they'll be embarrassed in to playing with some degree of emotion. That's something have not done this year.

PackerWatch(?) - We ALL saw the (63)Scotty Wells dive "under" the defense on that one play. And, I do mean everyone that was at the IPB hangout. He got the heck 'outta da way' real quick. Funny that. I disagreed with him getting big money as early as he did, when TT came onboard. Felt something was wrong there, but didn't see any omens. Maybe I need to re-think that.

...Nah, in 3 years, we're in the NFCC, after having #4 behind Center, and going 4-12(??). I'll keep what we got at the top - MY BEEF is with the Assistant (yes men) Coaching Staff. I say bring back Jim Bates, no matter what it takes and let him have his old job back. He ain't workin' right now. I say we keep Carl Hairston, but that's about it. And, this nonsense that Joe Philbin is better than Tom Rossley is just a joke, at this point. Oh, get this - does anybody wish we had Larry Beightol back right now? Cuz, James Campen sure isn't getting it done. He can get the boot, tomorrow, for my money! And, what's with the Linebacker Coach, Winston Moss - has our LInebackers done anything worthwhile this season? Why is he also the Asst HC, if he can't even handle the LB's? There are NO coaches out there chewing some butts on the sideline, nor working to "inspire"... either.

Several things happened in the off season
- Favre got mad and left (without really saying why, to boot)
- Corey Williams got traded away (and hasn't played well all season - so bite me with that TT Hatred)
- BIG ONE: Cullen Jenkins went down & out for the season, in the first game
- (56)Barnett went down (he wasn't playing well any way)
- (31)AL HARRIS side-swiped by AJ Hawk (the only real good tackle Hawk's had all year, too)
- (65)Tauscher plays semi-hurt half the season and finally goes out two games ago
- Team plays better with (72)Jason Spitz at Center in the 1st 3 games, and it's been downhill ever since once Scotty comes back. Vedddy Interestink! Think Herr Campen ever noticed?
- Wideouts no longer trying to "own their routes" like they did early on
- As a result (12)Bootleggger is hanging onto the ball longer, with hopes of making something happen
- Offensive Line simply cannot QB protect worth 50cents - get rid of (73)Daryn Colledge right now, and let Allen Barbre step in for the last two games - who cares!

Folks - anyone wanna tell me why we've kept (89)JAMES JONES out of the line up even when he's not hurt and several times getting placed on inactive (???) Yet, when he does come back, almost all of our successful drives are because of him; as opposed to (82)Ruvell Martin the "drive killer"....????

WE NEED: to draft for the O-Line and get some REAL protection for our QB - get gutsy with Free Agency for a change and not pay so much attention to the "best player available" approach, next April. The difference between Wolf & Trader Ted - is Free Agency. Otherwise TT's scoring in the Draft is actually 'better' than Ron Wolf's. So, take off the blinders guys... and take a real hard look.

FACT: This Season, Coach MAC runs NO crossing routes at all (why?); runs barely any screen passes, whatsoever; has barely used 5 wideouts whatever(keeping Jones inactive for what reason? ..Bueller?); will not let Barbre step in at LG, at all - when Colledge simply doesn't want to be LG and plays like it; Scotty Wells got fat and lazy on that big contract and has never proved his worth and does not know how to COMMAND the O-Line (I don't care to hear what Campen might have to say about it, either); Sanders' defensive attitude is almost as vanilla as that last DC we had that went to (guess where) Denver, before Jim Bates (also) went there.... go ahead, guess!

It's the Coaching this Season, guys ... not just the Players. MAC had better be ready to fire some Coaches, or he's lost my support, hands down! And, he better quit blaming only the players all the time, too!

...I'm out!

Wow IPB, some life on this blog after a pretty quiet week-end (all things considered). I was thinking of asking Aaron to post something political just to get some hits.
There now IPB, doesn't that feel much better? Don't agree with all of it, but I think my blood pressure dropped 30 points just reading it. Thanks man
