Opened as 7 point favorites. I don't think Dallas can keep up... if Rodgers is Rodgers. Heal quick, MVP.

that is the key to the game. Rodgers health.
If he can be effective and play close to his normal self, they will be tough to beat. If he is hobbled and can't move then this is going to be a very, very tough game.

It is scary, the number of times I saw Tyrone Smith hold and not get called was unreal. The NFL wants the Cowboys to continue in the playoffs, that PI call makes it obvious.

Looks like the NFL wants Dallas in the Super Bowl based on today's officiating. The Packers are a better team but I would not vote against the league's desired outcome.

The NFL caused Stafford to fumble twice on the last drive, caused Caldwell to pretend to go for it on 4th and 1 and not take a timeout to avoid a delay-of-game, caused a punt instead of going for it on 4th and 6, caused a 10-yard punt, caused numerous stalled drives, caused the Lions' defense to give up a long TD, etc.

Take off the tinfoil hat. The call was a judgement call and poorly handled by officials who don't have the benefit of replay on penalties. In my opinion, it was a procedural error by Morelli. If Morelli confirms the call with his crew before rushing to make an announcement, no one but Lions fans would be talking about this today.

My question is, why did Morelli make the announcement without confirming with his officials first ? Isn't that why they have those sweet headsets, so they can quickly hash out things like this without having to huddle up for 2 minutes?

I swear I keep hearing we cant stop their rushing attack. How are they going to stop OUR rush, or our pass. I just don't see it happening

First off, Detroit got jobbed.

Second, Murray's last impressive game was against Arizona on 11/2. He's worn out. Their OL is NOT as good as ours, and our pass D is plenty good enough to contain Dez and the bag of balls they have for other options.

Third, their D has NO chance to contain our passing O (or our rushing O).

Fourth, Romo was sacked 6 times and hit 10 times by DET today. We'll get ahead, get them passing, and hit the hell out of Tony. Turnover machine.

While Carolina would have been easier, this game isn't going to be close folks. I'm not worried.

"First off, Detroit got jobbed."

Pete Morelli's feet were numb, plus he was pushed by an offensive player! Do you think he has eyes in the back of his head? He was just trying to regain his balance.

There is a petition to Investigate the NFL's crooked officiating in the Lions Cowboys game in case anyone is interested.

I signed it because it calls for a publicly viewable grading system for NFL officials.

'While Carolina would have been easier, this game isn't going to be close folks.'

I don't necessarily think Carolina would have been the easier game. Carolina has been playing like a different team the last 3-4 games. They are much improved from the team we beat earlier this year.
I really think Carolina has a shot at going into Seattle and beating them.

I am not saying Carolina will win, I just think they can win.

The only thing I'm worried about is Rodgers calf. That is the only thing that worries me.

And basically a Quarterbackless Arizona team.

I definitely take that into consideration.

I just think that the Panthers have the type of team that could give Seattle a bit of trouble.
I'm not picking Panthers to go to the Super Bowl, just saying I can see them having a chance in this game.

I felt that way until I watched them play this weekend. Cam has no receivers at all, and he isn't very accurate. That offense could struggle seriously to score any points.

Agreed, Cam Newton appears to have a different demeanor since his brush with death.

Of the wildcard round teams I think the Panthers match up the best against the Seahawks.

Feelin' really good about a bye, and hosting that 'Boys team we saw today , at Lambeau. I'm looking for a similar game plan as with NE or Det... Running duo sets up killer Air Rodgers attack. Dee will dominate.

That is what I hope to see. And really open it up and jump on them after we build a lead. I think MM is not going to hold back this game at all. Winning from the start would go a long way in taking away some of the bitterness in my mouth of playing them in Dallas before.

The key to the game is Murphy opening the wallet and bribing the refs more than Jerry Jones. That will be impossible because JJ obviously owns whore Goodell.

All those refs from yesterday's game should be suspended. If they're not, we know the fix is in. Goodell is making sure that Dallas is in the Super bowl.

Just be glad it happened in the wildcard round. If the NFL pulls that shit two weeks in a row it they can't claim it's just some kind of fluke or aberration.

BTW - does anyone know if the NFL recomposes each Officiating Crew every round. Or, do they make them up of the highest graded officials to start the playoffs and keep them together for the whole tournament?

I just hope our ugly tackling efforts don't pop up in a game like this against a RB like Murray. I shiver picturing Murray running up against any of our CBs/Safeties.

Does anyone else think the cold weather will be a large advantage for the Packers? Has Dallas even played any cold weather games this year?

They've played at Philly, Washington and Chicago in December. I don't know the exact temps, but it's safe to say none were as cold as it'll be on Sunday.

I can see it both ways.

1. Any time a warm weather/dome team comes to Lambeau in January, it's going to be at a disadvantage.

2. That said, a frigid game shouldn't effect a power running team like them as much as it would a passing team. At the same time, I think an icy surface benefits WRs.

It cuts both ways. Bottom line is Packers are the better team and should win comfortably.

Glad to see Jeremy Ross muffing a punt and that poor decision to bring the ball out on the kickoff and getting tackled inside the 10 yard line.

Eff you, NFL network-showing a replay of the NFC championship game played in January 1996, in Dallas. How about you show the following year's 45-17 dismantling of Dallas in lambeau. I'm nearly starting to believe the bias hype. Almost is hyperbole.
