Next man up!! Even at this position.
December 18, 2010 at 12:42 pm
why not...
December 18, 2010 at 12:43 pm
poop
December 18, 2010 at 12:54 pm
Let's just hope a week of not getting hit will mean a full recovery for the Giants. Unless Joe Webb and the Vikings somehow take care of the Bears, that's the biggest game left.
December 18, 2010 at 01:10 pm
"Next man up" is exactly right. Set the Rogers inury aside for now and get pumped up for the Packers with Matt Flynn. Tomorrow night's huge for Matt, his family, and friends. Think of his parents watching him on national TV.
C'mon, what if we actually beat those Pats? I'll definitely tune in and have my lucky charms beside me - a 6-pack of Leinys!
December 18, 2010 at 05:41 pm
zero chance in hell.
you've hit bottom when you're getting excited for the family of backups who get to play.
December 18, 2010 at 08:44 pm
No, you've hit rock bottom when you're out of touch with the Green Bay Packers. Last I checked Matt Flynn is a Packer. He's starting. What, are we all just supposed to mope and call it a loss? Let's just cancel it outright, eh? Come on, man! If you don't want to root, then go do something else with your time. Come Sunday night, all the TRUE PACKER FANS will be cheering on our team. And sorry, but the fact that someone cares enough to understand that it's a huge moment for him and his FAMILY, that's bigger than football. That's beyond awesome. If you only root because they win or because of ARog starting, you're on the bandwagon. Don't think you're above the other fans and belittle them. I'm ashamed of your lack of class. Good post, honest John. Saint Vince himself would be proud of your green and gold heart. GO PACK, GO!
December 18, 2010 at 10:08 pm
i've been a "true packer fan" for a long time.
i'm starting to think what i really am is a "sucker".
and -yes- i'm moping and calling it a loss. there is zero chance that the Packers will beat NE at NE with flynn as the starter.
Z.E.R.O.
you know it, i know it, EVERYONE knows it (even flynn).
December 18, 2010 at 11:15 pm
Dude. Chill out. I'm for Flynn. Go man.
December 18, 2010 at 01:15 pm
DD says the last two days of practice was as though they never missed a beat.If he is praising the beat the offense has been in tune too, geez are we in trouble.
December 18, 2010 at 01:38 pm
Brian,
Can Harrell go back to the practice squad ?
Aren't 3rd QBs treated a little different than other players ??
December 18, 2010 at 04:46 pm
Harrell can go back to the practice squad if he is released, clears waivers, and then gets signed to the Packers practice squad.
December 18, 2010 at 10:20 pm
3rd qbs are treated differently if they're listed as the 3rd qb on gameday. I don't know all the ins and outs, but it's something like this: once they go in, the first and/or second stringers can no longer go in at all...until the 4th quarter. I think that's the rule anyway. Please, someone wiser than me correct/confirm this.
December 18, 2010 at 11:47 pm
Only if they are NOT on the active roster. But it's irrelevant, as Harrell will be on the roster AND active as the team's 2nd QB.
December 18, 2010 at 02:03 pm
With Flynn they'll be less tempted to get all fancy. They'll adhere to WCO fundamentals instead of the usual MM Run and Shoot. Flynn will play within himself and produce on offense.
We'll also see a steady diet of the secret weapon, James Starks.
Look for Shields to finally take a KO to the house too. MARK IT DOWN!
Pack wins on a gutsy defensive stand in the 4th quarter. Tramon picks Brady for the dagger.
December 18, 2010 at 02:18 pm
I fully endorse this scenario.
December 18, 2010 at 02:58 pm
You mean like the bomb Flynn threw on 4th down last week? MM will be calling the plays
December 18, 2010 at 07:25 pm
At least MM admitted it was a mistake to call that play afterwards...
December 18, 2010 at 03:10 pm
Gosh, I just nearly shouted Hell Yeah loudly into the loneliness.
December 18, 2010 at 05:43 pm
so you're calling for a close game.
and mccarthy's 5-15 when the game is decided by 4 or less.
Pats score 50.
book it.
December 18, 2010 at 09:48 pm
I'll take that bet. Packers haven't given up more than 26 all season, in a victory over the Lions. Even those games where the Packers have looked like crap, the defense has shown up. Contrary to the opinions of most in the media predicting a blowout tomorrow night, it's the defense, not the offense, that has this team in the playoff hunt. I don't think the Packers are gonna win tomorrow, but they won't get buried like the Bears did last week, and the defense is the main reason why.
December 18, 2010 at 10:12 pm
without zombo, without jenkins, and with half of a mathews.
tell me - what great offensive team has the Pack played this year?
cripes - they've only played 1 or 2 "good" offenses (atl., phil.).
they haven't seen anything like the pats.
it will be over by the end of the 1st quarter.
December 19, 2010 at 03:13 am
Which team do you support?
December 19, 2010 at 08:17 am
Packers - my entire life.
Just pissed that I'm never going to get to see another championship.
It's a damn shame.
Please get a coach that's not an idiot.
Please have AN OFFENSIVE LINE!
Please have a special teams unit THAT DOESN'T SUCK!
Please be able to RUN THE BALL!
December 19, 2010 at 12:30 pm
The Packers have played four of the top twelve offenses (total yardage) in the league to date: The Eagles (#1), Cowboys (#7), Falcons (#9), and Jets (#12). Note that the Pats are #8, the Packers are #11.
They've played 3 of the top 8 in points scored: Eagles (#3), Falcons (#5) and Cowboys (#8). The Pats are #1, the Packers once again are #11.
Id note that none of those offenses did much against the Packers D. I think the Eagles did the best the first week of the season- back when everyone was healthy.
Meanwhile, the Pats offense, the highest scoring in the league, has yet to drop 50 on anyone. The closest they've come was two weeks ago in a grudge rematch against the archrival Jets, when they scored 45, and the week before against the Lions, when they matched that mark (note they gave up 24 to Detroit, 17 more than the Packers did last week).
I'm not arguing that the Packers should be favored to beat the Patriots tonight. They are appropriately underdogs, although I think 14 is too high. What I am arguing is that your "book it" prediction is based on no facts whatsoever.
So you have the Pats at 50 and over, and I have the under. What do you want the stakes to be?
December 18, 2010 at 02:21 pm
Just what the Packers need another Harrell.
December 18, 2010 at 02:34 pm
And boom goes the dynamite...
December 18, 2010 at 03:09 pm
You know what? The odds that the Packers beat NE at home, even with Rodgers, were probably slim to begin with, in all actuality.
But it sure sounds like a lot of you Packers fans out there just can't wait for an excuse to give up on what is supposed to be your team.
Rodgers down? No run game? Flynn looks like a wet fish? No chance for the playoffs?
Fine. Don't watch the game, and don't bother posting anymore messages about the Packers. Pack it up and whine and cry yourself to sleep for the rest of the season. See you next year.
Me? I'm watching that game, I'm pulling for the Packers, and even if I fear the worst, I'm hoping for the best. I understand a good number of you probably are giving up now because you're scared of having your hopes crushed if the worst case scenario occurs.. Well, man up, for the love of god. Football isn't for the gutless.
Go Packers! I sincerely hope our team shows more heart and determination than so many of our fans.
December 18, 2010 at 03:39 pm
What Oppy said.
December 18, 2010 at 04:02 pm
Ha ha @ Oppy. " Well, man up, for the love of god. Football isn’t for the gutless.
That's funny shit. Like you or anyone else does anything remotely courageous in sitting at home; stuffin' yer face; and screamin' at the TV.
Who cares if people say it's over or not (more than likely it is) at least they care to have a passionate opinion...and you know everyone is gonna watch.
But, let's not live in an illusory fantasy. It will take something close to a miracle for the Packers to make it to the second season.
Still, negative comments do not diminish the love for the team. Facts are just facts.
December 18, 2010 at 04:26 pm
But it's NOT a fact that they season's over. It's NOT a fact that the outcome of this game has been predetermined. It's NOT a fact that the Packers are already disqualified from participation in the playoffs. The odds are very long...yes.
I think I speak for more than just myself when I ask that we at least wait until these things ARE facts before proclaiming them as such. That's all.
December 18, 2010 at 05:46 pm
sorry.
those ARE all facts.
i wish i could live in your world for a day.
everyone here on earth realizes the season is O.V.E.R.
December 18, 2010 at 09:04 pm
There's nothing physically courageous about being a fan at all. But it takes all the emotional courage in the world to love a team. If football player wants to win, the remedy is in his hands. To put all your joy in the hands of a bunch of guys you'll likely never meet and over whom you will never have the slightest control... It may be nuts, rather than courageous, but whether or not there's honor in being a sports fan, losing hurts.
And yeah, to be a good sports fan, you have to want to believe.
December 19, 2010 at 03:04 am
Bogmon,
It's true I have never played NFL football and put myself at risk of injury at the hands of competitive pro athletes while clad in plastic armor.
That being said, I've certainly spent a good deal of my professional career putting myself at far greater risk of personal injury and worse at the hands of unsavory people best classified as thugs who don't want to score a touchdown or get a sack, but rather hurt or maim with nothing but malicious intent. But if you feel the need to portray me as a coward cradled in the protective comfort of my living room compared to millionaire athletes who play a contact sport, feel free.
Either way, you've missed the point entirely. I wasn't talking about physical fortitude. But rather, emotional. So many people in life choose to take the pessimistic approach because it's the safe approach. If you expect the worst, you are never in for a let-down. If you dare to hope, and fall short of your goal, it can be emotionally devastating. But if you go in expecting to lose, you will never win. Not for the gutless.
Fans hold players to standards that many fans can't stand up to themselves. If the Packers come out playing like they've already lost tonight, these same fans who claim the season is already over will come down on them like a ton of bricks.. Yet, they have given up themselves. Sickening.
Not for the gutless.
December 18, 2010 at 04:54 pm
I sincerely hope our team shows more heart and determination than that pathetic egg-laying debacle they showed us last week.

I love this post. I've echoed these sentiments constantly. Sorry, but don't lump Packer fans with these folks that fold like this and give up on their team. Packer nation is behind our boys win or lose, in the glory and in the dumps. We true fans are a part of the team. Imagine how the guys in the locker room feel. You think they like the way a promising year has folded out? You can bet your @$$ they're gonna go out there and play to win. Everyone has stepped up after all the injuries, and Matt will do no less. Again, Flynn is a Packer. Let the naysayers spit whatever negativity they want. True Packer Nation is proud, win or lose. Go get 'em, boys.
December 18, 2010 at 10:18 pm
sounds like a speech i might give my 4th grade son's park district basketball team.
very special.
truth of the matter is - it's time to start looking at the draft.
there is no chance they win.
better offense.
better special teams.
better coaching.
and the defenses RIGHT NOW (considering all the GB injuries) are pretty close to even.
add on the fact that it's in NE as well as the fact that quite possibly the greatest qb of all time plays for THE OTHER TEAM.
i'll be impressed if the Packers lose by less that 4 tds.
December 19, 2010 at 02:53 am
"sounds like a speech i might give my 4th grade son’s park district basketball team.
very special.
truth of the matter is – it’s time to start looking at the draft.
there is no chance they win."
Here's a little quote that most people screw up all the time, from a guy named Vince Lombardi:
"Winning isn't everything, the will to win is the only thing."
Well, guess what, son? The attitude you and many other fans are displaying shows zero will to win.
Even if the Packers lose tonight, a Vikings or Eagles win keeps the Packers in the playoff picture.. And you're ready to phone it in already? Go ahead and start thinking about the draft. Unbelievable.
Don't get me wrong, I understand us fans have absolutely no bearing on the outcome, but the lack of fortitude of some fans is sickening. Again, if our players showed this kind of eagerness to fold in the face of adversity, fans would be calling for their heads on pikes.
December 19, 2010 at 08:13 am
"in the playoff picture."
first of all - "f" the playoffs, i (and millions of other Pack fans) want a championship. this group ain't gonna make that happen. so what's the point?
secondly - yeah, they could lose to the pats and still be "in the picture", but do you honestly think this team has a chance to beat the NYG? that dline is gonna make the Packers OL look like swiss cheese (again). and guess what - the bares are beter than the Packers. yup - I said it.
Rodgers will not play again this season.
Packers will lose out.
PackerAaron
December 19, 2010 at 08:16 am
"this group ain’t gonna make that happen. so what’s the point?" - THAT, sir, is called 'quitting'. "Millions of other Pack fans" would be ashamed of you.
December 19, 2010 at 08:24 am
deep down - every single Packer fan knows that this season is not going to end with a championship.
you all know it.
how is my stating that fact "quitting"?
December 18, 2010 at 03:13 pm
I guarantee a win
December 18, 2010 at 05:47 pm
you.
are.
high.
December 18, 2010 at 05:48 pm
oh - and you also predicted rodgers would start this game.
so..........
December 18, 2010 at 07:20 pm
Smack, you rule.
December 18, 2010 at 04:53 pm
The fans that quickly bought into the(preping for my NFL gig) Barnett"Super Bowl or Die" mantra, are certainly feeling this pain more than others.
We all are dissatisfied with the season and the many different roads this team has taken and some were able to ridden out.
I accept the possibility of the Packers being sent packing, but we have done far more than most others would have done and yet, I cannot blame the majority of woes on the injuries.
We have good, young ,efficient, teachable and very learnable players on this team. Now if they, the coaches and especially MM can learn from this season and some of the Packer site owners and their blindfolded fans, realize that although it happens rarely,a run game is a must or you better have TWO starting QBs who may really need to be CLONES,to even come close to what you hope in a one dimensional offense.
I have my hope that MM is smart enough to go to ground and run Starks 25-30 and screen to BJ 5-10 times, keep them in the backfield all game and force NE to fill the box and get man on Jennings for Flynn and kill the clock doing so.
The worst that happens is we lose a game that we may have lost before it started, but we can find out alot about what we have and didn't use and add a much needed dimension to the game and for the survival of Rodgers.
Lets do to NE what everyone says we can't do,RUN to a VICTORY.
December 18, 2010 at 05:12 pm
I put the underperformance squarely on MM. Yeah, we've had injuries, but that's not why we lost to Detoilet. Nor is it why we lost to the Bears, which has been the biggest dagger to this season so far. Even the two overtime losses were inexplicable. It's always the offense, despite more talent than any team in the league, that somehow can't get anything done.
MM needs to stop being fancy. Stop trying to outsmart everyone and just play football. HIGH PERCENTAGE football.
December 18, 2010 at 06:02 pm
"HIGH PERCENTAGE football"
Ding, ding, ding....we have a winner!!!
December 18, 2010 at 05:13 pm
The defense has shown up week in and week out, despite MORE injuries than the offense. But it's always the offense that lets us down.
Well that and special teams. LOL.
December 19, 2010 at 12:31 pm
This.
The Defense has held up its end of the bargain all season. The offense, on the other hand, has gone missing as often as not.
December 18, 2010 at 05:26 pm
Last time I was lacking this much hope we shut out the Jets. Pitchers and catchers in 55 days.
December 18, 2010 at 05:52 pm
problem is i'm a brewers fan so i stopped looking forward to baseball season about 28 years ago.
December 18, 2010 at 05:46 pm
Bah Humbug, No expectations no disappointments.
December 18, 2010 at 06:00 pm
If the game is close after the 3rd offensive series for the Packers we will have a chance. I believe we will have a pretty good idea of the outcome by then because we will be able to see McCarthy's plan going in in the first 2 offensive series and by the 3rd if he is able to adjust to what the Pats do to him on defense.
December 18, 2010 at 06:24 pm
Go Pack Go!
December 18, 2010 at 06:45 pm
Flynn is better than Rodgers.
December 19, 2010 at 12:03 am
Now that I would like to see be true. McCarthy would be the
H O F Qb maker then?
December 18, 2010 at 07:18 pm
People are really bailing on the No. 1 scoring defense in football wow.
Skill players: Please hold on to the damn ball. And can someone make a truly difficult catch?
Seriously, how many highlight reel receptions have we made this year?
December 18, 2010 at 07:24 pm
Not saying it's as big as #12 but no Jenkins really hurts the pass-rush, and we can't let Brady set up camp in the pocket.
Claymaker gets to 20 sacks on the season tomorrow, that's right 7.5 sacks for Clay. He's just been waiting for this game the last few weeks.
Here's to solid Defense and ball control efficient WC-Offense. Let's find a way to get it done.
BUP
December 18, 2010 at 07:55 pm
I just went and messed around with that ESPN playoff scenario thing. There are still a lot of scenarios where we can be a wild card with a loss tomorrow.
We'll need to beat the Giants and the Bears, of course. And that's certainly no guarantee. But if we can do that and finish 10-6, we have a pretty good shot of getting in.
December 18, 2010 at 08:33 pm
RickyBobby,
You like stats? Ok.
#1 scoring defense-14.5 PPG allowed.
#3 Passing defense-197 YPG and only 12 TDs allowed with 18 INTs and 37 sacks.
#1 passing defense in terms of Passer Rating Allowed, with opponents only managing a 68.1 rating.
We are about to play a team that has a pass-heavy attack and that has a young defense. Just because Rodgers isn't playing doesn't mean there is no shot. Flynn has to have SOME talent, and if not for ONE pass in the end zone in the Lions game, he'd be coming off a win against a RELENTLESS pass rush. He'll be fine.
I'm telling you, the Pats have nothing to play for. The Jets and Steelers are the only 2 teams with a remote shot of catching them for HFA, and they play Sunday, meaning there will only be one team with a shot to catch them. And if it's the Steelers, they hold the tie-breaker already.
December 18, 2010 at 09:20 pm
Now, I'm not pointing this out to be a contrarian, because I do think the Packers can win this game, however unlikely it is. But the #2 and #3 scoring defenses in the league are the Steelers and the Bears...and the Patriots didn't seem to be too fazed by them.
December 18, 2010 at 09:35 pm
They also struggled against Baltimore and San Diego and lost to the Jets earlier this season.
December 18, 2010 at 09:39 pm
Oh, #s 4, 6, and 7, respectively. And yes, I know they destroyed the Jets 2 weeks ago, but that had more to do with the Jets falling apart altogether than the Pats just beating their defense.
December 18, 2010 at 09:42 pm
Also, the Bears are #18 and the Steelers are #22 against the pass.
December 18, 2010 at 10:25 pm
the Packers defense is a mirage.
they've only played 2 "good" offenses all year... philly, and atl.
no one on their schedule to this point is even in the same universe as the Pats.
all those #1's you listed will be things of the past come monday.
December 18, 2010 at 11:59 pm
They've allowed 14.5 PPG to NFL teams. That's good enough for me. Will you promise to go away when the Packers win?
December 19, 2010 at 01:07 am
yup.
i’ll even go away if they lose by less than 14.
December 19, 2010 at 03:11 am
Don't you mean if they lose by less than 28, per your earlier comments?
Just trying to keep you honest.
;)
December 19, 2010 at 08:28 am
yeah - left myself a little wiggle room there.
I was using the spread on this one (pats -14).
in actuality, i don't see them staying within 28.
December 18, 2010 at 09:00 pm
Win or lose, all season long I only asked that the team played tough and smart. If they gave it all they had with whom ever they had I was satisfied. But too many games the coaching staff made it very difficult for the team to succeed. From special teams, to playing too much zone, to McCarthy's piss poor play calling have frustrated me to no end and cost us games.
December 18, 2010 at 09:08 pm
I am for whatever reason feeling somewhat encouraged.
December 18, 2010 at 09:11 pm
And what a strange thing it would be if we could pull it off tomorrow. TT would be up for KING.
Stranger things have happened. Wow what if?
December 18, 2010 at 09:19 pm
Craizer things have happened. Gotta root for the team. Maybe MM dumb's down his play calling & discovers Flynn can play. D has a huge game. Pack Wins.
Problem is Eagles, NYG...I don't think the Bears are loosing Sunday.
December 18, 2010 at 09:47 pm
Yeah I think it's impossible for the Bears to lose Sunday. They might lose Monday, as Peterson owns them traditionally.
December 18, 2010 at 09:43 pm
Even with Flynn, if this is a blowout game, if the Patriots cover the spread (-14), I'll stop posting in here till we make the playoffs.
December 18, 2010 at 10:27 pm
nice noin' ya.
48 - 9.
"till we make the playoffs" - you mean 2012, right?
December 19, 2010 at 12:15 am
I just heard from a friend on the team. At the team meeting tonight, Aaron Rogers stood up, was walked to the podium, cleared his throat, wiped a tear from his eys and said this:
"Fellas I've had aa tough break, and things haven't gone our way all year. But let's put that all behind us, dig deep and go out there tomorrow and cover the spread. But not for me,or Max McGee, but for PackersRS. Cheeshead TV needs him"
"Let's end this mess for PackersRS" A movie will be made.
December 20, 2010 at 12:41 am
Thank you Aaron Rodgers and co. You guys rule.
December 18, 2010 at 10:15 pm
do we want the giants or eagles to win on sunday?
December 19, 2010 at 03:14 am
I could be wrong, but it's my understanding we need/want and Eagles win or a Vikings win. With either of those, the Packers could still take a loss at NE- and if they win out the last two (Vs. NY, CHI), we make the playoffs.
December 18, 2010 at 11:56 pm
@rickybobby
The Patriots were supposed to roll over the Browns right? Look what happened. Anything can happen man..
December 19, 2010 at 01:06 am
yup.
i'll even go away if they lose by less than 14.
December 19, 2010 at 01:10 am
oops - double post.
anyhow... the browns are better than the Packers w/ flynn.
they also match up better w/ NE. great special teams, strong run game.
explain to me how the Pack is gonna keep the ball out of brady's hands.
brady will not be sacked.
the Packers will run for less than 60 yards.
flynn will throw 2 picks.
mark my words - this is going to be a disaster.
17 - 0 at the end of the first quarter.
December 19, 2010 at 01:54 am
In the words of Popeye, "I've had alls I can stand, and I can't stands no more!"
Those that actually read my occasional posts will know that I basically do not ever attack anyone personally. Apologies to those readers, and Aaron and Corey. But I just can't take this shit any more.
Dear Ricky Bobby: As of 1:28 EST 12/19/10, your ass has written 12 posts on this thread alone that all basically say the same thing: "The Green Bay Packers are screwed tomorrow and for the rest of 2010, and anybody that thinks otherwise is STUPID." Isn't that basically it? I mean, it's one thing to give up, but you have to go and attack the very people that HAVEN'T.
Three things: First of all, go to the goddamn ESPN playoff scenario machine. There are plenty of scenarios where we make the playoffs at 10-6, which of course entails losing tomorrow and winning our last two HOME games. Is THAT so impossible? No, it's not.
Second thing: Even if we don't make the goddamn playoffs, who the f*ck are you to sit here and write A DOZEN posts about how screwed we are and rip on the people that wrote positive things? If you want to think that, be my guest. But don't give anybody else sh*t if they want to be a decent fan of the finest NFL team EVER. You want to make 1 or 2 or 3 posts stating your bullshit negative opinion? Fine. But a dozen???
Third thing: The reason I came to this site was simple. I think it is FUN to be a Wisconsin-born Green Bay Packers fan. It's all about FUN. Corey and Aaron generally keep out this dipf*cks, and a halfway intelligent Packers fan can come here, enjoy some decent-to-excellent commentary, and have a good time. I have FUN posting here. I have a few beers every week and try to get a laugh or two on the live blog without offending anybody. I try to keep it humorous, yet intelligent (football-wise). Are you having fun by sending out a dozen posts that rip on the people who still believe in this team, this franchise, and this very IDEAL that is the Green Bay Packers? Is this your idea of FUN?
My idea of fun is grabbing a pitcher of homebrew and sitting down to watch the Pack tomorrow night and chiming in some smart-ass comments on the live blog. It'll be fun tomorrow. And next week. And the following week. No matter what our record is. Good night.

Ruppert,
You should definitely make that homebrew with some bonafide Waukesha Spring Water.
Just sayin'.

show me where i called anyone STUPID.
i guess i'm just astonished that with so much pilled up against the Packers that there are still some people who think they will win this game (or make the playoffs even).
you're right - i've probably gone overboard on the number of comments i've posted (back injury - i've been on the couch for 2+ days). i'm just trying to understand how anyone can have even a sliver of hope going forward.
i just do not see there being any chance.
hope i'm wrong.
i'm done now.

Ruppert, agreed with one caveat. It's fun to be a non-Wisconsin born Packers fan too. ;)

Even with a loss to NE, GB still has a pretty good chance of a wildcard spot .... They must defeat the Giants & Bears ....
Need the Giants to go 1-2 in their last 3 ..... Need the Bucs to lose at least once in their last 3 ......
This is just one scenario .... There are several others that also get GB in .....
Basically, you have the Pack, Bears, Eagles, Giants & Bucs all vying for 3 playoff spots ..... (NO, Atlanta & NFC West winner) are in (more or less) ....
Even the expected collapse by the Bears could still happen (Vikings, Jets & the Pack) .......

Rodgers is our future-me thinks.
And for some reason MM and Co. have gotten caught up in this down field vertical passing game.
Now, because Flynn brings a different dimension to this offense because of his physical stature, me thinks MM will get back to a WC offense, dink and dunk short passing game. Flynn's a winner, and let's hope he pulls a Montana out of his hat- just sayin.

Hopefully when Rodgers returns next week McCarthy goes back to a WC style of play for the rest of the year and as long as he remains the head coach of the Packers....for however long that may be. It would do this offense wonders. Plus he could still attack down field. The WCO is built to do that despite the belief of some Monday morning quarterbacks.

This offensive line needs to SHOW UP NOW !

Actually, I'd prefer a different offensive line show up :)

hahahaha...man oh man, can't WAIT to see the PACKERS get CREAMED TONight!!
You are all going to see what PERVETED UNCLE TED's perverted philosophy of not using FREE AGENCY to get a COMPETENT, experienced, veteran, backup QB is going to get you!!
Hell, the OLD PERV should have grabbed Ryan Fitzpatrick when he was available, he's tearing it up in Buffalo....
You PEOPLE deserve what you get...8-8...this year and 23-25 with Aaron, Uncle Perv, and no FAVRE..
yeee hooo...

How's that Viking/Favre thing working out for you, dumbass?
