Fights Break Out at Packers Training Camp on Wednesday

Wednesday was a particularly feisty day at Green Bay Packers training camp, according to those in attendance.

Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel summed up no less than three spats, to varying extents, in this missive...

Justin Felder of Fox 11 in Green Bay had a pretty good shot at the fight Jermichael Finley was involved in through his camera viewfinder...

And another...

Love it.

Finley punching a dude wearing a helmet I do not love.

I can read it now "Finley on IR due to broken hand".

Looks like Jolly came in with a cheap shot on Finley?

Brian Carriveau's picture

No cheaper than the punches Finley is throwing.

Evan's picture

Whaa? #47 was facing Finley as he was going to town (and was punching back). Jolly blew up Finley from behind.

aussiepacker's picture

if you come in from behind or the side of 2 men going toe to toe facing each other in my opinion is a cheap shot. But he may have just been trying to split it up with no malice in mind just looked worse than it was?

I'd much rather hear Jolly throwing a cheap punch at someone vs. him drinking cheap punch.

Oh come on, that's not a cheap shot at all. That's just how you break up a fight between guys who are 245+ pounds of muscle - you need the guy who outweighs them by almost 100 lbs to throw a little of that mass around.

But yeah, I'd rather not see a guy whose job relies on his hands punching another dude in the helmet...

Evan's picture

Yeah he did...

I love the feistiness...but with this team's injury history, maybe they could cool it with trying to kill each other?

I can't bring up the second part on my phone, dammit.

Was it Sitton and 'Coach Greene'? Serious question, thanks.

Evan's picture

Nah...Van Roten and Francois.

The first one was a bit too much...the Finley punch was REEEALLY stupid.

The second one conversely was really lame...think they may have actually been dancing or hugging awkwardly.

whaler92's picture

Although i don't want to see stupid fights this aggressions is a positive sign, as long as it transfers onto the field against the opposition

Longshanks wins!

record from your viewfinder? Can't you just post your 8mm's?

Nice catch though

Boys will be boys. All will be forgotten until week 6 when the team is 0-5 and the rest of the season ain't promissing. Then the fist will really fly.

Tommy G's picture

Fiery practice is good. Poor team chemistry is bad. I hope this is the former.

The defense is getting some nasty. This is good. They should all have "579" tattooed on their biceps.

Tomorrow they get to hit the real enemy, can't wait!
