Best options for defensing a pass, especially when the game is on the line:

1. Step in front of pass and intercept.

2. Knock pass down.

3. Swipe receivers arms after it gets there and try to knock pass out of his hands.

4. Make judgement that the pass is over or underthrown and lay-off the receiver.

5. If the receiver catches try to knock it out with a jarring tackle.

6. Kevin Kings solution: grab receivers uniform, hold-on and get an obvious PI penalty that effectively ends your teams season.

Kevin King had to grab on because he lacks football speed but hey we invested a ton of money in him as what a 2 pick. Savage is just as bad and alexander is ok but goes missing in games because they are passing at savage and king and sullivan all game. The opponents know our defensive weaknesses better then we do

On the week Ted Thompson passes away Kevin King did a great job honoring his memory and reminding us of the pick of King instead of TJ Watt. Wisconsin sports; Where we always find a way to remain just bridesmaids. MLF is just younger Marty Schotenheimer until he proves otherwise. Bridesmaids.

8 of the other 15 NFC squads (more than 1/2) have now been to the Super Bowl since the Pack last made it back in 2010 -- and none from the perennially crappy NFC North.

Going to be fairly interesting to see how the sunshine pumpers trying to spin this latest playoff loss as a positive, "just wait til next year folks" story.

Would love it if someone covering the Pack would do a deep dive and explore why the team with the best, or one of the top 3 QBs, in the NFC has failed to get to the Super Bowl for 10 years running, but that does not mesh with selling hope so won't be expecting it to happen.

Please. hard to put this one on a defensive breakdown like last year... Aaton had plenty of opportunities, including off TWO int & to tie the game up at the end. Bottom line he & the O didn't come through

Post season exit interview - MLF - Pettine.
MLF: Tell me again why we played man on the last play of the half.
MP: All year, everyone was clamoring for more press coverage and now you want me to play prevent?
MLF: Isn't it a coaches job to know when to play what coverage. Have a nice life.

Gute - MLF chat:
MLF - we need a better D.
Gute - offense wins games.
MLF - you didn't get me a receiver I wanted either
Gute - Receivers are good enough. I told you Rodgers is on his way out. Do your best for one more year until Love is ready. He's the future. Even you didn't have confidence in him on 4th down. Take a look in the mirror if you're looking for mistakes.
Next year - repeat.

Our offense is very good but not great. Don't start with the #1 seed and most points. That doesn't make it great.
Our D is good, but not very good.
Generally, a very good D (TB) beats a very good O.

I appreciate your honesty, Aaron. This one really hurts. I truly believed this was our year. It felt like it was our destiny to win it all. With the way Rodgers played all season, the offense as whole, the OL being dominant, the D catching fire at the tail end of the season and the play-calling/coaching decisions that were being made, it truly felt like something special. I am in total agreement with you when you say that the only team that could beat GB is themselves. Been saying that all season to myself. This game was a prime example of that. We went away with what got us here towards the end. If you told me that Rodgers would have over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns, that Tae, MVS and Lazard would each have over 60 yards receiving and that we forced 3 turnovers, I would say we would of won by 10+ points easily. Not the case today. Jaire picked off Brady twice and we went 3 and out twice. 6 passes. Cant have it. Why stray from our long and timely offensive drives mixed with the run, PA, quick passes and a possible deep shot after moving the chains like we had done all year? Drop back and sling it? That is not what we did all season. Was more than enough time to play our game. Felt like we were rushing and trying for home runs when we needed singles and doubles and to keep the chains moving. I couldn’t believe those series. Should that PI been called? Maybe. Wasn’t called all game and yet it was there. Am I mad? Of course. Like you said though, don’t put yourself in that position to let the game hang in the balance of the refs hands. Should of never been in that situation with the poor drives off those Jaire picks. Or the dropped INT by Redmond to then have it turn around and have King let Miller running right past him. Horrible. Or Tae to drop that touchdown pass. Or Jones to fumble. Or a bad decision by Rodgers to throw that ball to Lazard. We didn’t play up to our standard and it cost us. This one hurts a lot, its crushing. Theres a lot of uncertainty coming. Breaks my heart to have that most likely be Jones’ last play for us. He fumbled. It happens. Lets not forget, if it was his last game for us, how incredible he has been for us and lets be thankful for everything he has given to GB and to us fans. Ive always been a big King advocate and defender, when he is on, he is great and makes the whole defense better, but today he played very poorly and do not believe he will be back. Same could be said with Preston, who knows with Linsley, Jamaal Williams, or Marcedes as well. Lots of question marks for us this off-season. Thats why this loss was so painful. I believe that this may have been our best chance to get it done and I believe Rodgers knows that as well. He will back next season, but after that, who knows. Who knows what the future holds for our beloved team, no matter what though, I will continue to love the Packers through thick and thin. This is my team. Our team. No matter what. A lot of talent still remains and I believe in LaFleur at the helm. Like i said, many questions, but i trust Coach and Gutey to have the answers. We cannot be prisoners of the moment. We must take a step back and reflect on a season that was incredible. Its not how we wanted it to end, in yet another gut-wrenching loss, but I do believe, even though the team will be different, we have the talent and the right people in charge to have continued success. I love this team. I will never stop loving this team and nor should any other Packers fan out there. GO PACK GO!

MLF has to be better in games like these period. This loss sits on his shoulders. It was his play calling that caused us to blow 6 possessions that would have given us the game. Our defense, yes is not 100% shut down, they make plays at the right time of the game. The defense gave our offense SIX POSESSIONS and we got nothing for it. There were mistakes in this game, yes, but we had the game won if we just run the damn ball. MLF miffed it. No more glory ball,!!!

Absolutely heartbroken. This team beat themselves. They choked when it mattered and the window has closed I truly believe that now.

Aaron you want us to trust the franchise that has kist 4 NFC championship games. Give me a break!

I agree with you on the ref situation in that its frustrating but not the reason we lost. I disagree with you on Lafleur. He made the wrong call on 4th down and you wont convince me otherwise.

The decision to kick the FG at the end is indefensible. It made no sense strategically or logically. If the positions were reversed and the opponent kicked a FG and put the ball in Aaron's hands, I would have cheered. And to believe the defense would make a stop? What game was Mlf watching? Just plain stupid.
