Driver: No Touchdowns? No Problem.

Nice piece from the AP, run over at the Sporting News, about the unselfish nature of Donald Driver. The article makes an interesting point, basically saying - can you imagine any other #1 WR going without a touchdown since Week 3? It would be a nuclear meltdown. Imagine the eruption that would follow T.O. or Chad Johnson if they saw an emerging second year player getting all their TD love? I can promise you, it would make Brittney's behavior seem tame.

All this said, there was an interesting mention by Greg Bedard on a live-blog he did of the Giants-Cowboys game about how the Packer's receivers are not very tight. The actual post (posted at 5:33 PM) was:

Guys usually hang in their position groupings. I'm sure all the olinemen are hanging together. Same with the defense. Doubt the receivers are. Those cats aren't that close.

It's something I plan on digging into in the off-season. In the meantime, Driver's selfless play is a joy to behold.

Driver is the man....

This team really reminds me a lot of the Pats when they won their first...under rated, Driver parallels nicely with their WR (Brown?) who was their #1 guy and then played some DB when they needed it...just did whatever to help the team.

That Pats team went to the SB to face "the greatest show on turf"...

This Packers team will be going to the SB to face "The best team ever".

When its all said and done the "best team ever" will go home defeated and America's real team will be bringing home the trophy named after their historic coach.
