Happy to eat all that crow assuming Bak stays in GB. I really didn’t think it possible. It sounds like he’s staying, as of that interview.
To me, that’s a game changer in terms of expectations for this 2023 season, and for this draft.
Still perplexed AR would agree to play w NYJ and their #32nd ranked OL. He’ll get slaughtered, and we’ll wind up with a high R2 next season, if this holds true.
Why wouldn’t the Jets have taken at least the top OG to protect AR last night? Especially with both their OGs looking more like OPs?
"Still perplexed, AR would agree to play w NYJ and their #32nd ranked OL. He’ll get slaughtered, and we’ll wind up with a high R2 next season, if this holds true."
This reads like you don't believe the QB play has anything to do with the success or failure of the OL.
Rodgers has covered up some bad OL play, and I expect him to do the same for the Jets.
Box score / Stat sheet assessments can be "covered up", but if you're watching the game being played, good QB play doesn't cover up poor OL play at all.
There's been some crappy OL play over the years, especially in times of personnel transition, but there's been just as many years where fans have blasted the OL for not doing enough for the QB.. when the QB was holding the ball for 4+ seconds regularly.
The OL covered AR up most of the time, even he hold the ball forever or refused to throw it away. AR mad no one better around him, that was the problem with him.
No wonder that you hear from so many players that they are relieved now.
As I already stated Bakh was just honest about his thoughts of state of Packers. And I believe he feels little odd as the oldest Packers now entering his 11th season as Packers.
But I take his claim that he is excited about "new team" Packers are now. He is excited of unknown and lack of pressure, because many does not expect much from Packers this season. He said that, by his opinion Packers may be bad but also surprise many. Nobody knows (except stockholder & starrtorodgers and few others).
I'm glad that I will have oportunity to watch Bakh as LT of the Packers offense for foreseeable future.
Nobody knows (except stockholder & starrtorodgers and few others).
Croatpackfan,
As I have said before the Packers at the end of the season were 12 weeks removed from a team that had gone 13-3, 13-3, 13-4 and 3-1 - that is an NFL best 42 wins and 10 losses - until Rodgers broke his thumb, receivers and defense started going down injuries, offense of line adjusted as Bak and Jenkins came back and team adjusted to Brian's alienation of Hall of Fame Receiver Davante and MVS.
Packers would be in the 12-5 to 14-3 range in 2023 if Rodgers were starting and Cobb, Lazard, Tonyan and Mercedes had returned for both chemistry and steady production as we phased in new rookies - was hoping JSN and Darnell Washington, both of whom were available for Brian to draft.
If the Packers do not finish in the 12-5 to 14-3 range in 2023 it will be because Jordan is no Aaron AND because of Brian's incompetence and making ENEMIES of Veteran players rather than comrades in arms.
AR got trade because he is AR and worse he plays like him. Not even to mention how he is off the field. Lombardi would have traded him 10 years ago. But its never to late.
Thanks God Love is not 12, so maybe we can win a game when it counts. Can not be worse than AR, with the results and the off the field antics. The good thing is, everyone knows it.....

Bottle Flipper:
Take it from someone who has been going to and watching Packer games & cheering them on with Packer fans from the 40s and 50s, pre Lombardi, for over 60 years.
There are 3 categories of people attacking Rodgers:
1) The SPOILED BRATS - alleged Packer "fans" who are 40 years old or younger and have never experienced 3 consecutive years where the Packers did not make the playoffs - and who are also Aaron Rodgers haters, who are not satisfied w the fact that the Packers - with Aaron Rodgers as the starting QB & leader over the past 15 years - appeared:
a) in the playoffs more years - 11 - than any other NFC team or QB
b) in more NFC championship games - 5 - than any other NFC team or QB,
c) in more NFC playoff games - 21 - than any other NFC team or QB
and also:
d) had as many Super Bowl wins - as any other NFC team or QB over those 15 yrs, despite the facts that:
i) the Packers - unlike any of the other 31 teams - never drafted a WR, RB or TE in the first round over the past 20 years, 2003 through 2022, (and this was continued again this year in 2023)
ii) the Packers, despite the emphasis on defense in the first round, fielded only 3 top 10 defenses over those 15yrs of Aaron starting compared to Tom Brady's teams having had top 10 defenses in 12 of those 15 yrs & having had higher ranked defenses in 14 of those 15 yrs.
2) The CHURCH LADIES - self righteous hypocritical reactionary types that do not question anything those in authority tell them and instead eat up gossip, rumors, hysteria, fabrications and lies deliberated created by the 31 Billionaire Parasitic NFL owners and disseminated through their paid talking heads, as such hoarding, selfish, insecure and greed driven Parasitic Owners cannot have the "inmates running the prison" (the late Bob McNair, Houston Texans owner) nor have a charismatic, well liked, intelligent, free thinker questioning or challenging their PROPAGANDA as the consequence would be their loss of wealth and power.
3) THE PACKER MANAGEMENT PAID SYCOPHANTS who are here to distribute Packer Management (i.e. Brian and Russ Ball) TALKING POINTS and Propaganda (also euphemistically known as "Public Relations) in order to scape goat Packer Players and Coaches for this Packer Management's insecurities and fear of Packer Veteran Team Leaders and, due to this fear, their lack of communication with such Veteran Leader Players and instead treatment of such Veteran Team Leader players as ENEMIES rather Comrades in arms. ..
The Propaganda and Scapegoating of players is to:
I) set Packer fan expectations for winning at a low level in preparation for years of losing,
II) Divert the blame for such losses from where it justly belongs - Packer Management, in particular General Manager, Brian Gutekunst - and onto to present and past Packer Veteran Player Leaders and coaches.
The consequence of such non communicative, inexperienced, insecure, impatient, impulsive and imprudent Packer Management is the alienation of Packer Veteran Leader players and destruction of the team and its chemistry as Packer Management - when it is questioned as to its illogical choices - becomes ever more resistant and contrarian and reactionary to Packer Veteran Team Leaders and TRUE Packer fans questioning their irrational decisions and thus undertake an unnecessary "Scorch the Earth" policy - divesting of all Packer Veteran friends of its most Charismatic Leader, leaving the team with largely inexperienced low draft round rookies and undrafted free agents and an abundance of first round defense draft choices which do not help the Charismatic and Well LIked Packer Leader's successor, Jordan Love.
Such illogical and contrarian choices by the General Manager are because the fearful, insecure, over his head,, General Manager Brian Gutekunst must seek to prove his illogical decisions were correct - even through they obviously were not and are not - more and more as he makes such illogical choices, as he is left with no other alternative - the further he goes in digging the grave of what was a top Packer team - 42-11 best record in the NFL after game 4, just 13 weeks prior to the end of the season - along with his own grave as Packer General Manager.
Greengold, is your prediction of Bahk to the Jets dead or is it still alive since they didn't score a top OT in the first round? I suppose they could use #42 on Freeland, Bergeron, Duncan or one I liked Steen from Alabama. But they are not locks to start and AR might be unimpressed with any of them. We do know he loves Bahktiari.
Maybe Rodgers pressures them to trade for Bahk since he holds more sway in New York now. What could they give us to move him since their 2024 first is almost a lock to be ours at this point? Would we take their #42 this year and a 2024 2nd or 3rd? I would. Would it have to be designated June 1st to save us money, or would that screw us out of #42 this year? Or is June 1st even important if they redid his contract?
We would kind of have them over the barrel right now since they missed last nite. By the way I really like the potential of Jake Witt-OT and it would be a later pick in the draft. That should be our O-line pick this year.
Do you know if the redo of Rodgers contract Wednesday freed up any dollars we can use on Free Agents? I heard two figures of $7 million and $14 million. Any truth to it?
golfpacker, Nothing sits right with what I saw last night from the Jets.
First, MY SINCERE APOLOGIES to my friends here. I’m a thinker, a creative for my life’s work, passionate to a fault, and share my thoughts far too readily. I never mince words.
I’m a see problem, fix problem hitter.
The Rodgers saga these past 3 years got the best of me. I don’t hate him. I appreciate the greatness he brought to our offense for a long time.
When he started acting out against the team’s best interests is when I wanted to send his ass out. He couldn’t take neither of Jordy’s nor Cobb’s releases by the team, and Murphy’s “Don’t be a problem,” he flipped into BE A PROBLEM.
Sorry, when that happens? GTFO.
These last 3 years of his all consuming arrogance with total choke jobs when it mattered most shredded me.
I still cannot reconcile his throwing to no other wide open WR in order to feed a double/triple covered Davante, killing our last playoff game hopes.
That’s not even a choke job. That’s the epitome of insubordination. And what does Murphy do? Feed him another pile of cash.
I wanted this trade badly. I’m acknowledging this front office somehow figured out a way to ditch him and his cap for 2024. Kudos are warranted for fixing the problem they themselves brought on.
*Also, for completeness sake, I love Bak, and I hope he is staying at LT for the Packers. Just seemed he and AR we’re inseparable, hence, my looking into the potential trade scenarios.
All I know is prior to NYJ war room shot of them all high fiving each other, they all looked like they had their proverbial dicks in their hands, needing OL.
I’m done sharing more on how AR will be running for his life in a NYJ uniform without OL players in trade from GB.
Anyhow, please accept my humble apologies for getting too wrapped up in it and I’ll try my best to stay more discerningly on point moving forward.
Stop babbling and don't spit it out. You have your forum to blame Rodgers for everything. Speaking of proverbial dicks, it will help you to take yours out of your mouth.
Hey Spawney=Troll. Why don't you go to the Jets site where you belong. Most straight guys don't bring up what you just did. Stop being an internet tough guy.
AR never got any blame for all the mistakes he made all the time. But he was very good in blaming everyone else. The Rookies, McCarthy, Gute, the weather, the D, the OL, The FO but it was never his fault. But if we won, it was all about him, like he covered up all our wholes.
Glad we have back the joy to watching the Pack....
Wasn't able to listen. But just a wonderful job of having Bak speak. Just within a week was an article that may have questioned Bak's intentions. Having Bak on your show, clearing up any misconceptions is a healthy promotion for the Packers. Well done.
After two games, the Packers rank 1st in red zone TD efficiency this season. They ranked 23rd in the same category in 2022. Aaron chats about it with Packers fans worldwide.
