Yeah, gotta admit D.J. Smith just isn't doing it for me. Really miss Bishop.

ARod has got to learn to get rid of the ball sometimes. There's no shame in taking the dumpdowns. Too many sacks are on him.

I knew Crosby wouldn't come close. He tries to overkick when he doesn't need to. I've never felt confident with him with the game on the line. And has anyone noticed that he often comes up much shorter on kick-offs(not this game though) than the opponents kicker?

Unless something dramatic occurs, I've given up on Finley. Reggie Wayne was catching everything near him, while Finley ... nothing.

The irony of him putting a kickoff through the uprights but missing to kicks of about 50 yards is thick.

Crosby has been solid all season. He had an off game and thats it. I wouldn't read into it too much unless he does it next week.

the Good: TT wil know by next week whether or not to look for new coaches.

the Bad: A year of CMIII & Rodgers potential wasted.

the Ugly: Packers in-game coaching capabilities.

Oh, and how about Woodson. The dude can't cover at all. He holds on every play that comes to him. He could be flagged 10 times a game. It's like putting a twin size blanket on a king size mattress.

In all honesty, Woodson has held on every play his whole career. He is from a dying breed where football was football.

With you on this one. Between the hosiery by the refs, and impotency of the offense, they looked winded. But they made enough plays to win the game if ARog isn't holding the ball for 7 seconds on seemingly every play instead of chipping away at down and distance with his feet.
Masthay was in the good, hell of a performance.

I agree! Why wasn't Rodgers moving out of the pocket when his receivers were not open. His feet has saved him in the past, so why wasn't he running more?

DJ Smith. Interesting call. It seems like he constantly gets sucked inside on run plays. Makes it so easy for the back to bounce outside. Just bad angles.

Was he also one of the two who let Luck bulk rush between them on the final drive? They should be embarrassed by that.

Did Aaron Rogers go Hollywood on us???
I think he spent to much time looking pretty doing commercials, maybe he should step away from the mirror and stop under-throwing all sideline routes and over-throwing deep routes and remember to check down once in a while. If he would sharpen up his game we might be 5-0 right now and we would not be throwing our coaches under the bus.

Coaches are paid to put players in a position to win and to motivate. You still have to be able to motivate and cajole professional athletes. Some have the maturity to play like a professional while others do not. Remember...you are dealing with a wide range of athletes at this level, from 21 year olds to 40 year olds and they all have different levels of maturity. In my time I've seen some very mature, self motivated youngsters and I've also seen "seasoned" vets conduct themselves as if they were going to the junior prom. Aside from the offensive play calling (which was absolutely abysmal.....again), this team doesn't seem very focused or motivated. The coaches deserves to be placed in front of, around and under the bus at this point, right along with the players. It all starts at the expectation and tempo at the top.

This team is really an enigma. I think enough of the pieces are there to win right now. If you make a list of things we must find next year the list is pretty short - center (don't want Saturday back), running back (assuming you don't want Benson back), maybe a DL (because Pickett is getting too old), and maybe a WR (assuming that GJ won't be back). Compared to a lot of teams this is a pretty short list.

So where does TT go to fix this team? Is he really going to start dumping a coaching staff that won the Super Bowl two years ago and went 15-1 last year? If he did, who is available out there that is better?

This whole thing does not make sense to me. Everyone needs to sit down and look in the mirror.

Yes, yes, yes, everything you said, yes.
For these reasons, I haven't jumped to judge this team quickly after its strange losses and somewhat encouraging wins.
None of it makes sense. Or at least not to me. I hope it makes sense to what we thought were great coaches and management within the Packers organization who can effect some sort of positive change, hopefully soon.
I still believe this team can get right. Biggest game of the year will be when we go down to Chicago. It's all about the division now.

The refs can be placed in the bad category too! Every week we have to fight the refs on the field as well as the other team! The bad interference call on Shields, the bad call on Nick Perry as he tackled Luck, the reversal of the INT Tramon Williams made, the non call for grabbing Jones facemask right in front of the official on the sideline. I thought the replacement refs were gone. My mistake!

Sam Shields belongs in the good, he was great yesterday.

I'm still hopeful. Yesterday was a gut punch, but if we can beat the Texans next week, we're back to 3-3. I could easily see us running off 3 after that (Rams, Jags, Cards).

6-3 heading into the bye. I will take that.

I'm not buying the headlines that the 2012 Packers aren't very good. There is a lot of talent on this team. They can turn this around.

Shields has played very well overall, but I don't think he earned a good. He lucked out on the pass to Avery that should have been a 50 yeard TD if not overthrown. That would have been two games in a row that he gave up a backbreaker.

The tackling is great and his coverage is generally good, but he can't keep losing guys on vertical routes.

You might say it is too early, but I am losing faith. Started with the KC game last year and continues. Had faith that Ted and Mike would add new talent - oops.
Getting tired of Woodson, Shields, Burnett, Smith and Raji.

Rodgers missed Jordy three times, held the ball forever. Mason Crosby man terrible, ugly, pathetic. Finley is dazed and confused. Missed Benson's presence especially in the second half. Mastay doing great. Badly need some leadership on this team.

I thought Walden warranted a little love. I'd put him in the good category. He looked good in pass coverage and was in the backfield a fair amount. Seemed like one of his better games.

I'm sorry, but without terrible officiating, this team is 4-1. An ugly 4-1, but still 4-1. This is the NFL. I know last year was a breeze, but usually games are going to come down to a play or two, and when the refs job you on those plays, it makes a huge difference.

The fact of the matter is, this team should be 4-1 WITHOUT EVEN PLAYING WELL!!!! Do you really think they're going to lay 16 eggs? Since when has that happened with Rodgers at the helm?

Teams regress in the turnover department. It's a major reason people were so adamant that the Niners would regress this year. Instead, it's been the Packers. You're just not going to win the turnover battle the way the Packers did last season consistently.

Eventually, the offense will get healthy. Eventually, the defense will gel. Eventually, this team will go on a run, and you'll all have to eat crow. Remember this post?: http://cheeseheadtv.com/blog/lions-7-packers-3

Just shutup. It's still early and the sky isn't falling, dammit. The refs blow and that's all.

You just hope the hole isn't too big if they do get it turned around.

And enough of the officiating. The record says 2-3... Doesn't matter how they got there, they need to play better.

I agree with the Officiating. The Call Roughing the passer call on Perry's sack/fumbler was absolutely horrible. Same with Sam Shields defensive pass interference. Those 2 plays alone could have cost the Packers a game.

The 49ers game the officiating was terrible. The Packers lost to the Seahawks because of the officiating. The saints game on the kickoff fumble that the Packers recovered just after a TD, could have ended up costing them the game.

I'm not saying the officials lost the games for the Packers (well minuse the Seahawks game), but they played major roles in each of their losses.

My wish is for 1 clean game where there are absolutely no bad calls against the Packers.

Watching Manning and Brady yesterday, it was clear to me the difference between them and Aaron this year. They take what's there , Aaron is forcing the issue, waiting on the big play... And leaving yards/points on the feild in doing so. He and Mike need to wake up, realize what defenses are doing, and ADJUST. It's not god damn rocket surgery.
