Colledge Back At Practice
Lost in all the attention being paid to Aaron Rodgers not practicing is the fact that Daryn Colledge returned to the starting lineup.
By PackerAaron
While the football watching world is carefully going over the fact that Aaron Rodgers was not at practice today (um, hello, McCarthy said yesterday that Rodgers wouldn't practice today) Daryn Colledge quietly went back to work, taking all the reps with the number one offense during the portion of practice open to the media.
Colledge has never missed a game since joining the Packers in 2006, a string of 80 straight games.
Sitting out practice were Cullen Jenkins (calf), Frank Zombo (knee), and Clay Matthews (shin). Jenkins and Zombo are expected to miss the game against the Patriots this Sunday.

42 - 13 pats.
so i'm trying to determine which ending to a season is worse...
the slow "bleed-out" like this season has been or the sudden "what the hell just happened?" that finished off last season?
i guess last year was more exciting. this season seems to hurt a bit less, though. i bet it won't linger as long for me afterwards either.
how crazy that the Pack'll probably go 3-1 against the bares and queens and still miss the playoffs.
oh well. we should be ready to go for next season (2012).
sigh.

We have lost 5 games, not one by more than 4 points.
This won't be a lopsided game. Even if Flynn is starting.

As a Packers fan, I'm hoping for a miracle. Here's how I see the game plan for GB. They're going to eschew runs the entire game for 5 WR or 4 WR 1 TE sets. They'll also have the 2 FB behind the Guards formation on downs they anticipate a blitz.

I'm trying to decide between holding out hope for the season (win out or drop one and get lucky) or start dreaming of higher draft picks. I don't think I'd even have to contemplate this had A-rod slid. YOU SLIDE!!!!
I really hope Flynn drops an unholy mother of god style game on the patriots though, then we can toss in an extra 2nd round pick in the draft, which would be nice.
Packers 51- Pats 49

No way does our defense give up either 42 or 49 points. Just won't happen.

The way to beat the pats is to run the ball. James Starks is our only hope. Matt Flynn cannot win a shootout with Brady.

Even though I don't think he's the key to the puzzle, a return to the offensive line by Colledge may bring back the cohesion the group was missing in the Lions game last week. The group looked great against the Ravens, and remember when the Vikings started to jump in the air to bat down passes rather than even attempt a pass rush? The line is a continual problem that I hope will be addressed during the draft, but let's give this group one last chance to show us what they've got, especially Colledge.
Regarding Rodgers, I'm not sure I want to see him on the field again this year. Our chances of reaching the playoffs are low already so why risk a third concussion in one season? I want Rodgers healthy for years to come, similar to our decision to put Finley on IR. Aaron, do you foresee Harrell being added to the roster at some point before Sunday? If so, who's dropped?

More concerning than the pass protection--which wasn't good against DET--is the run blocking, which was abysmal. Their ability to do that element will determine how well this team does against the Pats.

When did we play the Ravens? Must have slept through that one.

Colledge will miss his first game as a Packer in game 1, 2011 ..... You have to be on the 53 to play ......

I agree WoodyG..i think its absolutely amazing how Colledge has recovered from another injury so quickly. If anyone was at the game last Sunday you would have seen that it took him 10 minutes to limp off the field at haltime, he was getting smacked around out there and he bailed out. Its well known that Colledge has a history of embelishing injuries. Sunday should have been his last game as a Packer!!

And that's a good thing?

This OL is turning into a joke. The O is turning into a joke. 3 pts. against Det.
Unbelievable!
