Clay Matthews Officially Ruled Out for Bears Game
It may have been presumed to be inevitable, the Green Bay Packers made it official on Wednesday––linebacker Clay Matthews has already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.
Matthews broke his thumb this past weekend in the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the same thumb he broke in early October and kept him our for four games at midseason.
The Packers didn't practice on Wednesday because of the Christmas holiday, but Matthews was listed as out on the team's injury report, an approximation of each player's practice status.
In addition, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was listed as limited, while five players were said not to take part at all: running back Eddie Lacy, linebackers Nick Perry, Brad Jones and Mike Neal and defensive lineman Ryan Pickett.

Maybe raffle off the position by naming a ticket holder's section and seat number?

Since when did Clay play middle? He is a defensive end. Always has been on this team. and its too bad. Wasted his talent.

SHowing your complete lack of knowledge yet again! Matthews is an OLB, NOT a DE. Get it freaking right or get lost!

Maybe GB will just play dime all day against Chicago.

That would slaughter the (already porous) run defense.
Raji/Pickett have NOT been good the past 7 games...

Nickel, then?

Yeah - that's about what the defense is worth.

No problem. We have those two feared and very ferocious pass rushers, Datone (not in shape to play yet) Jones and our other first rounder, my ass is wider than your snow shovel, Perry.
Wow those were two impressive picks uh Ted!

I have been a long term packer backer for a long time. The Lombardi years, the long hard stay a packer fan, but still did Lynn Dickey years gave me hope. And then the Favre era 2 S.B win & 1 lost also could have had more. has had me spoiled and then of course the Rodgers. era Super Bowl win, MVP 15 & 1 the next year Then the un thinkable happens. He's a go this week and I think without a doubtThe Man is going to give us the best chance to go to the playoffs and I know I won't forget 2013 Happy New years all
