Head coach Mike McCarthy announced linebacker Clay Matthews "tweaked a glute" and kicker Mason Crosby "tweaked an ankle" following Saturday's abbreviated Packers Family Night practice at Lambeau Field.

The practice was cut short when storms rolled through the Green Bay area, the team left the field of play and fans headed for cover.

McCarthy said Matthews has a chance to return to practice by Monday, indicating the injury probably isn't very serious. The Packers' starting left outside linebacker did not take part in the practice session.

As for Crosby, McCarthy said they hoped he would be able to take part in tonight's practice but decided to rest him instead, implying that perhaps the kicker's injury isn't very serious either.

Both injuries presumably occurred on Friday night's practice session at Ray Nitschke practice field.

UPDATE: Safety Brandon Underwood also sustained an injury on Saturday night, going to the ground after trying to plant his foot into turf while in pursuit of a running back.

Wes Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette tweeted, "Underwood was on crutches in the locker room and wasn't talking about his injury."

McCarthy indicated he had an injury "above his knee" but didn't know whether it was a quad or a hamstring.
