Cheesehead TV LIVE: LaFleur

The Green Bay Packers' offseason is in full swing and there's a new sheriff in town. The Packers have hired Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator, Matt LaFleur, to be the next head coach. His first order of business? Firing Ron Zook.

Down in Chicago, the Bears have been double doinked into the offseason. It was a beautiful ending to one of the best seasons the Bears have had in a long time.

Jason and Jeremy discuss it all on this episode of Cheesehead TV LIVE!

Tom Silverstein writes
Lafleur is getting 5-5.5 mil a year and McCarthy gets 9mil from Packers to sit home in 2019

So that 14-14.5 million this year for Head Coaching costs
That’s crazy

It's good work if you can get it. Gutey and Murphy just keep racking up the bad decisions costing Packers fans million and millions of dollars. I'm a stockholder and I can tell you I'm not happy what's going on there. John Kirk was right. I hate to bring his name up but damnit he was right on the money unfortunately.

Man, can you take a break from the negativity? Everything you write is a complaint of some sort. It might feel good for you, but holy cow- you are a downer.

I was responding to Uncle Albert's post on wasted spending by Gute and Murphy. I didn't waste money, they did. Would you like me to say I am happy they are spending 10 million of my money so MM can have a one year vacation? The Packers are 6-9-1. Typically there's not a lot of positive to talk about. I don't take pleasure in this believe me. I am trying to help solve the problem. If problems were easy we wouldn't have disagreements on the solutions.

If you have some positives feel free to share them johngalt.

It might be Ball & Murphy, not Gute & Murphy.

"10 million of my money " Seriously, your money? I'm a stockholder too, but I'm not delusional. None of this is your money.

Actually you would almost have to suffer some sort of delusion to not understand what I meant and take it literally. Did you also think Mexico was going to send the President a check for the wall?

Well let's be honest, there's been a lot to be negative about and facing it, accepting it's happened is the first step to fixing it. Kool-aid and blindfold may be good for the boo-boo but this team suffered a hemorrhage a few years ago and has been getting no medical attention.

his jealousy is the only thing he got, besides his hate of course. Just like his "President", a crybaby in a brainless drama queen body.
Everything is someone else`s fault. And he knows everything better and thats the reason he is so successful in life. Even he never really did something…...

I've been coming here for God-I-Don't-Remember how long anymore. When the posts are about football plays by guys that know more than I do I just look and try to learn. Then we have these kinds of articles. There is always someone like Dash. Best just to ignore them.

Well apparently, the NFC North is playing NFC East and AFC West divisions, then the packers get Panthers and 49ers due to where they finished in the division.

It's a standard yearly schedule that is filled in by who finished where in the Division...fill in the blank. The only part that is decided differently yearly is the who and when the match ups take place.

We play the 6 division games, the AFC West teams, and the NFC East teams. Same as all NFC North teams. Then we play the 3rd place teams from the remaining NFC conferences...Panthers and 49ers.

We had the NFL's "easiest" schedule in 2016. These "easy" or "tough" schedules mean nothing. The NFL changes rapidly from year to year. Chicago went from missing playoffs to being a 1 and done playoff team. Double DOINK lol. Who the Packers play doesn't matter not shooting themselves in the foot is what matters.

All the teams in the Packers division play basically the same schedule, I think. In other words, the Lions, Bears, and Vikings are also going to play all the teams in the AFC West and the NFC East.
So that leaves only two other games for the Packers against the Panthers and 49ers.
It seems the good thing about this way of scheduling is that winning a division title really means something, because all of the teams in a division play very close to the same schedule.
The other variable is the timing of the games as far as travel. The Packers got a raw deal this season playing away at the Rams and Patriots consecutively, and then having the Vikings at home but on a Thursday (if I'm not mistaken).
A lot of things went wrong last season. Let's hope all of those bad breaks are matched by good breaks in 2019.
