Cheesehead TV at the Senior Bowl

Garda gives you a brief run down of CHTV's coverage of the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama will look like.

If the conference championships just wrapped up, you know it's time for the start of draft content here at Cheesehead TV.

I'm down in Mobile for the Senior Bowl again this year, and will be providing news and notes from both the North and South practices either at night or first thing in the morning.

Tonight we have media night, so hopefully I'll get some good quotes from players.

I'll be attending both the North and South practices today, even though they will be in two different locations. Normally, both practices take place at Ladd Peebles Stadium, one in the morning and one in the afternoon (leaving plenty of time to eat BBQ at The Brick Pit and Saucy Q).

On Monday though, we kick things off with the weigh in, which takes most of the morning and throws the schedule off. One team still practices at Ladd Peebles, but the other treks half an hour to Fair Hope Stadium. Normally, I just go to Ladd Peebles, but last year I went to Fair Hope and really enjoyed the atmosphere there as well.

They staggered the practices today, so that means I can catch most, if not all, of both.

The weigh in was generally unremarkable. You don't read too much into it, really, though if someone is maxed out physically (in other words don't have any room to add more weight and muscle), very thin or sloppy and fat, it will stand out.

There were a few very sloppy offensive and defensive lineman, but overall it was a pretty well put together group.

Besides, sloppy or not, it's how they move that counts, not so much how they look.

Onlookers at the weigh in, as is the case all week, is a "who's who" of NFL personnel. I saw former Jets GM and current senior director of college scouting Terry Bradway as well as Giants GM Jerry Reese. Scouts representing every team were on hand, as were many position coaches, head coaches and other staff.

It's hard to swing a bag of BBQ without hitting an NFL coach, scout or other personnel.

So after media night tonight (and more BBQ) I'll be back with some notes from the first day of practices. You can also catch my live updates by following me on Twitter as well.

We'll be back later with some actual notes from the practices today. We're here until Thursday, so we will have three days of practice reports from Mobile, and probably some BBQ recommendations.

Looking forward to the Senior Bowl practices and the Senior Bowl.

Always a lot of great players playing in this game. Looking forward to seeing how they match up against each other.

J. Franklin & D. Jones played here last year. Franklin actually looked pretty good with a 20 yard TD run.

Michael Schottey (Bleacher Report), on twitter, reported that he was next to Ted Thompson and his scouts when TT said to his scouts (and I qoute):

"Let's roll, yo"....

Said he's telling the truth and it (qoute) was, "glorious".
