Brady Poppinga: Jordy Nelson Is the Best Wide Receiver in the NFL

The former Packers linebacker makes his latest outspoken opinion, calling Nelson the best in game.

In a short amount of time since becoming a professional sports analyst, former Packers linebacker Brady Poppinga has gained a reputation for making outspoken opinions.

Poppinga told Cheesehead TV at the Super Bowl that young players on the Packers were being given jobs without earning them.

Following this season's Week 8 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Poppinga called Mike McCarthy's coaching "out of character."

Just last week, Poppinga said the Packers' improved run defense has nothing to do with Clay Matthews.

Poppinga makes his newest bold claim this week by saying, "Jordy Nelson is the best wide receiver in the NFL" in a video breakdown for

Without question, Poppinga has solid analysis and makes several good points, but not mentioned are the likes of Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, A.J. Green and what separates Nelson from some of the other best wide receivers in the NFL.

I like Brady, but i don't necessarily agree with all of his bold statements.
I do think that some of the young players were handed jobs without earning them before. But that hasn't happened recently. Lacy, Clinton-Dix, Adams, Linsley, Bakhtiari weren't handed their jobs. They earned them. Linsley and Bakhtiari could be argued they were handed jobs due to injury, but they earned them with their play.

As far was WR's go.
If your talking this year, then yeah I would say Jordy has been the best WR. It would be between him and Dez Bryant.
AJ Green and Calvin Johnson have both missed games with injuries.
As an overall talent no one compares to Johnson. But basing on production this year, its hard to argue that Nelson isn't the best right now.
If your talking best QB-WR pair, there is no one I would rather have then Rodgers and Nelson.
