Bigby Receives Warning Letter From Packers

Atari Bigby (and most likely Johnny Jolly and Tramon Williams) has/have reportedly recieved a warning letter from the Packers stating the team will drop it's salary offer dramatically as of midnight tonight.

According to ProFootballTalk:

We're told that Bigby has received a letter regarding the team's intent to drop his offer.  It's likely, then, that the others have received the same letter.

Yes, this is the same letter that sent Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeill into a tizzy last week.

The deadline for the Packers' three remaining RFAs, Atari Bigby, Tramon Williams and Johnny Jolly, to sign their tenders or face a possible major reduction in salary is midnight Eastern time tonight.

As the kids are fond of saying - it's on now.

Williams is the only one in any position to do any sort of a hold out. Why Bigby and Jolly are refusing to sign is beyond me.

Jolly is an idiot, plain and simple, sooner he's off the team the better. One good season won't open Uncle Teds wallet. Bigby is holding out because he HAD no competition, now he has, so what's with the holdout, he's an idiot. Williams is the only one that the Packers should be communicating with.

The Packers are most likely,
A)hoping Jolly doesn't sign as the SIGNS are not good for him or the Pack with or /out him.
b)Bigby needs to have a serious talk with the mirror with his production manager at the same time.
c)Tra Williams needs to know that if he performs better this year he secures his spot and his negociating power(TT limits as with Sharper)with a dedicated team to winning.

Sorry but next year is not promised. However, Tramon is worth a new contract. Well, that's my opinion.

I don't have any doubt Atari will eventually report/sign. As the days go by I really hope it's to come in and Back up Burnett. Lot to ask of a rookie but it's just a little dream I have.

Bigby has always sucked - can't cover AT All (looks lost) and had 1/2 of a year hitting big but getting hurt as well. But, as he liked to say once - 'hey man, I'm defensive player of the month!'.

Jolly needs to take his medicine and take a nap.

Williams, while good, is risking a lot of money banking on the new contract letting him become an UFA after four years service - not too bright.

BIG mistake not getting both Williams and Bigby in camp.

If Bigby is not in camp nor playing for the Pack the start of the season, we will have another out cry from Woodson about the decision making of TTs like he did last year after the vikings loss.

Too much faith is being put on this rookie to not only be a good player for years to come, but to do it in his rookie year.

It's June. The above would be true, but not until August.

I was a little unclear, it will be after a loss during the season, Woodson would not do that during camp or preseason.

Now that you made me think of it, if Bigby or Williams are holding out he may say something earlier this year having played through it last year, small chance.

IMO Bigby is key for the consistency of this defense, kind of like Hawk but better.
