All Hail Donald Driver

It would be a travesty if we did not set aside a post dedicated to the accomplishment of one Donald Jerome Driver.

The Green Bay Packers have been in existence since 1919 - and in all that time no player has caught more footballs, whether they were wearing the Blue and Gold or the Green and Gold. Wheather they were playing in a farmers field or in the newly renovated Lambeau. That is just freekin' amazing.

The fact that Driver is the guy he is makes it all the more sweet. Packer People indeed.

Amen!!!!! For me there could not be another reciever I would rather have hold this record than him. He is one of the few players who have entered my own personal Hall of Fame for his toughness, commitment, continued excellence, and what seems to be excellent locker-room presence.

Other members of my hall of fame.. (not based on entirely stats, but sometimes moments) :
- Al Harris for returning from a ruptured spleen last year when he could have sat out the entire season and no one would have thought differently. I'll admit that he frusturates me at times, but his toughness and comitment to the team last year will always be remembered by this Packerfan.
- Frank Winters - for his toughness during the mid '90s and his shannigans on and off the field :)
- Wayne Simmons - throwing Amp Lee down like a rag doll and his toughness against the 49ers in that memorable playofff game in 95.

There are many more.... but I will stop for now :))))) Congrats Donald Driver!!!

Awesome player. Awesome guy. Big congrats to DD. And that one handed catch(second time he has done that this season) was ridiculous.

I remember that skinny guy who could jump so high it was impossible for Favre to over throw him. I only wish the record breaker could have been the one handed catch with the DB hanging on to his other arm was the record breaker. That would be the picture that should go into the hall of fame. AWESOME!

Just love the Double D. Very proud and happy for him. Even if he hugged Judas. No one's perfect.

Number 80 is the man! Years ago my friend Tom Johnson and I watched Donald at practice and Tom predicted greatness. Not only is he a great athlete, but he is also a great human being. Congratulations, DD! Keep on keepin' on!
