16th Overall vs. 183rd Overall

First, he sat out 11-on-11 drills during the OTAs. Fine. Then, he claimed he had developed some bad habits due to not playing for so long, but that it should take no time at all to get back into playing shape. Fine. But now here we are, over a week into camp, and first round pick Justin Harrell still can't beat guys who are in camp to be bodies in one-on-one pass rushing drills.

This would be bad enough if it didn't follow hard upon the emergence of Johnny Jolly, who may be the surprise of camp so far. The second year player out of Texas A&M was selected with the 183rd pick in the 2006 draft, the first of two sixth round picks the Packers had last year. Did no one on the Packers staff see a hint of his development at the end of last season? Or during OTAs? Could the Packers first round pick have been used somewhere else rather than at arguably the strongest position on the team? Hmmm......
