Gannon was easily the most qualified of the coaches Green Bay reportedly had an interest in for their defensive coordinator position.

Now is not the time for Matt LaFleur to be content. Now is the time for change. 

Trusting LaFleur to eventually get over the hump makes more sense than starting over with an unknown quantity at head coach.
