Trio of Vikings Sign RFA Tenders

Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune reports Minnesota Vikings restricted free agents Ryan Cook, Fred Evans, and Eric Frampton have signed their one-year tenders.

Evans, a seventh-round pick (212th overall) out of Texas State by the Miami Dolphins in 2006, was tendered at the "Second Round" level, and will earn $1.759 million dollars in 2010. Evans has signed with the Vikings in 2007, and has appeared in 40 games over the last three seasons, totaling 28 tackles and a quarterback sack.

Cook was a second-round pick (51st overall) out of New Mexico who started 33 games during his first three seasons in the league, but is now Phil Loadholt's primary back-up at right tackle. Cook was tendered at the "Original Round" level, which, if signed to an offer sheet, would have carried a third-round draft choice compensation along with his base salary of $1.176 million dollars.

A fifth-round pick out of Washington State by the Oakland Raiders in 2007, Frampton spent his rookie season with the Detroit Lions, who claimed him off waivers before the start of the season. Waived by the Lions midway through the '07 season, Frampton was claimed by the Vikings, where's he appeared in 41 games, totaling 42 tackles and a forced fumble as a core member of the Vikings' special teams units.

Frampton was tendered at the "Original Round" level, and will earn a base salary of $1.101 million dollars in 2010.

Vikings restricted free agents Ray Edwards, Tarvaris Jackson, and Naufahu Tahi remain unsigned.
