Tennessee Titans running backs coach Kennedy Pola has left the team to accept the offensive coordinator position at USC, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
Like most people in the state of Tennesse, Fisher, a USC alum, is not pleased with current USC head coach Lane Kiffin.
"I am very disappointed in Lane Kiffin’s approach to this," Fisher said. "Typically speaking, when coaches are interested in hiring or discussing potential employment from coaches on respective staffs, there is a courtesy call made from the head coach or athletic director indicating there is an interest in talking to the assistant.
"So I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism on behalf of Lane, to call me and leave me a voice mail after Kennedy had informed me he had taken the job. It is just a lack of professionalism."
After firing Earnest Byner, Fisher hired Pola in January. The former USC fullback (1982-85) had most recently coached the running backs with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but has also had coaching stints with the Cleveland Browns in the NFL, and UCLA, San Diego State, and Colorado in the college ranks.
Byner replaced Pola in Jacksonville.
