Tennessee Titans linebacker Gerald McRath has been suspended four games by the National Football League for violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
McRath, a fourth-round pick (130th overall) out of Southern Mississippi in 2009, McRath totaled 47 tackles in 16 games, including five starts, as a rookie. 38 of his tackles were on defense, where McRath added one interception.
The 6-3, 231-pound McRath has been working with the first-team defense, and was expected to open the season at one of the team's two outside linebacker spots. The suspension will cost McRath $92,941 in base salary in 2010.
