Tennessee Titans first-round defensive end Derrick Morgan was arrested in Georgia on Wednesday night, for speeding and driving with a suspended driver's license, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
Morgan was traveling back to Nashville for the team's mini-camp on Thursday when he was clocked driving 91mph in a 70mph zone on I-75 shortly after 5pm on Wednesday.
Morgan posted bond and was released three hours later.
On Thursday night, Morgan issued an apology through the Titans' public relations department.
"Made an honest mistake, had no idea my license was suspended from an unpaid ticket 5 months ago, notices were sent to an old address," Morgan wrote. "Not letting this get in the way of our team goals and going to continue to maintain focus, sorry to all the fans, and I will learn from this."
