Texans Hire Reggie Herring to Coach LBs

The Houston Texans have hired Dallas Cowboys linebackers coach Reggie Herring, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Herring will coach the linebackers under Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, who added Herring to his Cowboys’ staff in 2008.
Dallas had hoped to retain Herring, who entered the NFL coaching ranks with the Texans, coaching their linebackers during the franchise’s first two seasons.
