Several NFL Teams Aren’t Spending Cash

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports that some NFL teams have taken advantage of the absence of a salary floor in the league’s first uncapped season since 1993.
Last year’s salary floor, the minimum teams can spend on players, was just under $110 million per team. According to PFT, three teams–Tampa Bay, Kansas City, and Jacksonville–have less than $90 million in committed cash towards player compensation in 2010.
The Buccaneers have the lowest amount at $80.8 million.
