Seahawks Will Sign T Will Robinson Off Redskins Practice Squad

The Seattle Seahawks will sign offensive lineman Will Robinson off the Washington Redskins' practice squad, Chase Callahan, Robinson's agent, announced on Twitter.

Robinson (6-5, 297) originally signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State in 2008, spending his rookie season on injured reserve.

After being waived by the Seahawks prior to the start of the 2009 regular season, Robinson joined the Redskins' practice squad in Week 2 and was activated to their 53-man roster in Week 14, appearing in one game.

Robinson has been on the Redskins' practice squad throughout the 2010 season, where he's been earning a $320,000 salary, equivalent to the minimum base salary for a first-year player and significantly more than the minimum practice squad salary of $88,400.

No corresponding transaction has been announced by the Seahawks, who may be without left guard Chester Pitts this week due to a sprained ankle in Sunday's 34-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
