The New Orleans Saints have signed free agent linebacker Ramon Humber, Bradley Handwerger of WWL-TV reports.

Rookie quarterback Sean Canfield has been placed on waivers.

Originally signed by the Indianapolis Colts in 2009, the former undrafted free agent from North Dakota State started two of 16 games last season, totaling 32 tackles, including a team-high 14 on special teams.

Humber had two special teams tackles in two games this season before going on injured reserve with a broken hand. The Colts waived Humber from their injured reserve list on November 9.
