To add running back DeShawn Wynn to the 53-man roster, the New Orleans Saints released veteran cornerback Leigh Torrence.
After being released before the Saints’ 2010 regular season-opener, Torrence (5-11, 179) re-signed with New Orleans on September 14 and had three tackles in the two games he was on the active roster for.
A former undrafted free agent from Stanford, Torrence (5-11, 179) has totaled 86 tackles, 1.5 quarterback sacks, and 4 passes defensed in a 49-game career with the Saints, Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons, and Washington Redskins.
New Orleans has also re-signed quarterback Sean Canfield to their practice squad.
