The New Orleans Saints have placed long-snapper Jason Kyle on injured reserve, Jeff Duncan of The Times-Picayune reports.
Kyle, 38, had handled the snapping duties for the last 28 regular and post-season games for the Saints, who signed him last June after releasing long-time snapper Kevin Houser. Prior to signing with the Saints, Kyle spent eight seasons with the Carolina Panthers.
To replace Kyle, the Saints have signed Jacob Ingram, a 2009 sixth-round pick of the New England Patriots.
Ingram was waived by the Patriots on November 9.
