Report: Favre Contacted Sterger in 2009
By admin
According to Dan Mangan of the New York Post, Brett Favre contacted Jenn Sterger during the summer of 2009.
In NY Post fashion, Mangan alleges that while in New York City for his appearance on "Joe Buck Live", a short-lived talk show on HBO, Favre contacted "the brunette bombshell in a bungling bid to bed her".
(Joe Buck is undoubtedly rehearsing the level of outrage he should display now that his name is somewhat associated with this investigation, which will likely lead to his name appearing on TMZ.com, Buck's favorite website.)
NFL security is investigating Favre after Deadspin.com posted voicemails and sexually explicit text messages that Sterger purported were sent by Favre while both were employed by the New York Jets in 2008.
According to the Post, the same phone number used to send the voicemails and text messages in 2008, which Deadspin.com reports has a Mississippi prefix, was used to contact Sterger last summer.
Favre lives in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Sterger is contemplating whether or not to cooperate with the NFL's investigation, with Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer Press reporting that a financial settlement between Favre and Sterger would prevent her from answering the league's questions into the matter.
