Redskins Sign DL Darrion Scott

The Washington Redskins have signed free agent defensive lineman Darrion Scott, the Washington Post reports.

Scott takes the roster spot of nose tackle Ma’ake Kemoeatu, who was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.

A third-round pick (88th overall) out of Ohio State by the Minnesota Vikings in 2004, Scott has 128 tackles and 9.5 quarterback sacks during his 48-game career.

The 6-3, 310-pound defensive lineman spent 2009 with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League, earning a two-year contract from the Redskins this past off-season. Scott had 10 tackles and 2 quarterback sacks during the pre-season, but did not make the team’s 53-man roster.
