Redskins Place NT Ma’ake Kemoeatu on IR

Washington Redskins nose tackle Ma’ake Kemoeatu has been placed on injured reserve, Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports.

The nature of Kemoeatu’s injury was not disclosed.

Kemoeatu (6-5, 350) had started 12 of the Redskins’ 14 games this season, totaling 29 tackles in his first season after spending the previous four seasons with the Carolina Panthers.

Kemoeatu missed the entire 2009 season after tearing his Achilles’ tendon during training camp.
