Rams Sign OL Brandon Joyce

Free agent offensive lineman Brandon Joyce has signed with the St. Louis Rams, a league source confirmed.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

A 6-4, 310-pound guard/tackle from Illinois State, Joyce spent some time with the Minnesota Vikings in 2008 before joining the Toronto Argonauts' practice squad that September. Joyce spent the 2009 season with the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League, and had been doing demolition work when he got the call to tryout for the Rams during their post-draft mini-camp.

"I'm 25 years old and I'm out here having the time of my life," Joyce told Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on May 1. "I get paid to play a game. And when I go to work, they don't call it work, they call it playing. I wish I had bigger lips so I could smile bigger. I love this."
