The St. Louis Rams announced the signing of rookie defensive lineman Ernest Reid.

A 6-2, 300-pound defensive tackle from the University of Mary (North Dakota), Reid signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent in April and went through their OTAs and mini-camp. The Rams released Reid after their off-season workouts ended in the middle of June.

Reid takes the roster spot of guard Mark Lewis, a first-year player from Oregon who was placed on injured reserve. Lewis joined the Rams' practice squad late in the 2009 season after spending most of the season on the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks' practice squads.
