Rams Add La'Roi Glover to Front Office

The St. Louis Rams announced that they have hired former Pro Bowl defensive tackle La'Roi Glover to be their Director of Player Programs.

"Glover will be responsible in helping players with their transition to the pro game and in various off the field matters," the team announced on Twitter.

A fifth-round pick (166th overall) out of San Diego State by the Oakland Raiders in 1996, Glover appeared in just two games with the Raiders. Picked up by the New Orleans Saints in 1997, Glover spent five seasons in New Orleans, earning two trips to the Pro Bowl and leading the NFL in quarterback sacks with 17.

The Dallas Cowboys signed Glover to a five-year, $21 million dollar contract in 2002. A starter in 61 of 64 games with the Cowboys, Glover totaled 166 tackles, including 21.5 quarterback sacks, earning four trips to the Pro Bowl (2001-05). Glover finished his distinguished career with the Rams, posted in 107 tackles, including 12 quarterback sacks, in 48 games (41 starts) from 2006-08.

With 83.5 career quarterback sacks, Glover was named to the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 2000s along with Warren Sapp, Richard Seymour, and Kevin Williams.
