PFT: $1.25M Raise for Chris Johnson

Tennessee Titans Pro Bowl running back Chris Johnson's revised contract included a raise of $1.25 million dollars.

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports that Tennessee Titans Pro Bowl running back Chris Johnson's revised contract included a raise of $1.25 million dollars.

According to PFT's report, that money comes in the form of 2012 base salary escalators, and was paid to Johnson in the form of a signing bonus.

Johnson's 2011 base salary remains at $800,000, and his 2012 salary has been reduced to its original $960,000, which means that the Titans will likely be looking for a way to appease Johnson contractually next off-season.

Hopefully a new CBA will be in place to aide both sides in those efforts.
