Patriots Place DL Mike Wright on IR

New England Patriots defensive lineman Mike Wright has been placed on injured reserve, the team announced.

Wright started five of 10 games, totaling 14 tackles and a career-high 5.5 quarterback sacks, before missing the last six games with a head injury.

With Wright on injured reserve, the Patriots will not have to make a roster move when rookie inside linebacker Brandon Spikes’ roster exemption ends on Monday.
