Patriots Add DL Landon Cohen

To fill their open roster spot, the New England Patriots have signed free agent defensive lineman Landon Cohen.

Cohen replaces defensive lineman Louis Leonard, who was placed on waivers on Tuesday.

A seventh-round pick out of Ohio University by the Detroit Lions in 2008, Cohen has 26 tackles in 22 games with the Lions (2008-09) and Jacksonville Jaguars, where he appeared in two games earlier this season.

Cohen led the Lions with three quarterback sacks during the 2010 pre-season.
