Partial Patellar Tear for Clady

Denver Broncos left tackle Ryan Clady suffered only a partial tear of the patellar tendon in his left knee, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports.

Klis adds that Clady injured the knee playing basketball over the weekend, the 6-6, 325-pound Pro Bowl tackle underwent surgery on Tuesday at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver.

The partial tear means that Clady won’t miss the entire season, and will instead be on the shelf for 3-to-4 month. That timeline means he could potential return for the start of training camp, though given his importance to the franchise, the Broncos likely won’t rush him back for pre-season action.
