The Carolina Panthers have placed wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett on waivers, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jarrett, 24, was arrested earlier this morning for driving while impaired, his second such arrest since entering the NFL in 2007.

The 6-4, 220-pound former second-round pick out of USC has been a disappointment for the Panthers, catching just 35 passes for 428 yards and 1 touchdown during his 31-game NFL career, including two receptions for 40 yards this season in three games this season.
