Packers Re-Sign S Charlie Peprah

The Green Bay Packers tweaked their roster on Monday, releasing second-year tight end Devin Frischknecht and re-signed veteran safety Charlie Peprah.
Terms of Peprah's contract were not disclosed.
A fifth-round pick (158th overall) out of Alabama by the New York Giants in 2006, Peprah was claimed off waivers by the Packers at the end of the '06 training camp. Peprah had 26 tackles, including 16 on special teams, during his 37 games in his first stint with the Packers.
Waived with an injury settlement last September, Peprah signed with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9, where he made one special teams tackle in two games. The Falcons did not tender Peprah with a qualifying offer after the season, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Frischknecht was signed by the Washington Redskins last April as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State. The 6-3, 258-pound tight end was waived before training camp, and signed with the Packers, catching two passes for 8 yards in two pre-season games before being placed on injured reserve.
