Packers Place OL Marshall Newhouse on IR

The Green Bay Packers announced that offensive lineman Marshall Newhouse has been placed on injured reserve.
A fifth-round pick out of TCU, Newhouse has been a gameday inactive for all 15 games this season. Newhouse landed on the Packers’ injury report last Thursday with a back injury.
To replace Newhouse, the Packers re-signed offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith, a center/guard who entered the NFL with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Idaho State in 2009.
Dietrich-Smith appeared in 13 games for the Packers last season, but was waived at the end of this year’s training camp. Dietrich-Smith spent the first four weeks of the season with the Seattle Seahawks, but did not appear in any games.
