Packers CB Brandon Underwood Paid Money to Women

Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that Lake Delton police have confirmed that money was exchanged between Green Bay Packers cornerback Brandon Underwood and the two women who have accused him of sexual assault.

According to a press release from Lake Delton Chief of Police Tom Dorner, "money was exchanged between the alleged suspect and the alleged victims before the alleged assault."

The district attorney is expected to receive the case today, and a decision on charges could be made by next week, Demovksy adds.

Underwood could potentially be charged with two counts of soliciting a prostitute.

Underwood apologized to his teammates, particularly the six who were interviewed by police as part of a sexual assault investigation, on Wednesday, and addressed the media.

"Just at this current time I’m not going to be able to make any statements involving the situation due to the legal matters," said Underwood. "I understand that you guys all have a job to do, but just at this current time I’m just not going to be able to make any statements or answer any questions. I just want to apologize to my teammates, who have been dragged into this. I’m sorry that it has been a distraction for the team."
