McDaniels Not Interested in 49ers

ESPN's Mike Sando reports that Josh McDaniels is not interested in the San Francisco 49ers' head coaching position.

McDaniels' name surfaced in San Francisco after the Miami Dolphins stepped up their pursuit of Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Financially, the 49ers are unlikely to compete with the Dolphins, who are reportedly willing to pay Harbaugh, who has never coached in the NFL, over $8 million annually.

Head coach salaries are usually kept under wraps, but New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who has three Super Bowl rings, is estimated by Forbes to be the NFL's highest-paid head coach at $7.5 million per year.
