Marvin Lewis' Reps Reach Out to 49ers

The Cincinnati Bengals will not make any announcements on head coach Marvin Lewis' future on Monday, but Lewis doesn't sound a man who expects to be back.

According to Jim Trotter of Sports Illustrated, Lewis' representatives have reached out to the San Francisco 49ers about their vacant head coaching position.

Trotter adds that Lewis will interview with the 49ers, but is not viewed as a serious candidate.

Lewis has not ruled out a return to Cincinnati, but reportedly wants the team to upgrade its training facilities and personnel department, which Bengals ownership may not be so eager to do.

In eight seasons under Lewis, the Bengals are 60-67-1 and 0-2 in the playoffs.
