Lions Sign LB Isaiah Ekejiuba

The Detroit Lions have signed veteran linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba to a two-year deal.

Brad Biggs of the National Football Post reports the Detroit Lions have signed veteran linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba to a two-year deal.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Released by the Oakland Raiders on July 8, Ekejiuba visited the Lions and Seattle Seahawks this week.

The 6-4, 240-pound Ekejiuba has 49 tackles during his career, with 46 coming on special teams. Ekejiuba has also forced and recovered a fumble on special teams, blocked a kick in 2008, and led the Raiders with 15 special teams tackles last season.

Ekejiuba entered the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia in 2005.
