According to NFLPA records, the Detroit Lions have signed fullback Matt Clapp to a one-year "Reserve/Futures" contract.
Originally signed by the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Oklahoma last May, the 6-2, 246-pound Clapp went through the OTAs and mini-camps before being waived with an injury settlement in August.
Clapp spent two weeks on the New Orleans Saints' practice squad at the start of the season, which was followed by a month-long stint on the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad.
Indianapolis released Clapp, who was subsequently suspended for four games for an undisclosed violation of league policy.
