Lions Release S Daniel Bullocks

The Detroit Lions have released veteran safety Daniel Bullocks, Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports.

A second-round pick by the Lions out of Nebraska in 2006, Bullocks was a restricted free agent this off-season who the Lions tendered at the "Original Round" level, which carried a non-guaranteed $1.176 million dollar base salary for 2010.

Bullocks has started 22 of the 32 games he's been active in the NFL, totaling 118 tackles, 1 quarterback sack, and 5 passes defensed. The 6-0, 212-pound safety missed the 2007 and 2009 seasons with knee injuries.
