Lions Claim OT Cliff Louis Off Waivers

The Detroit Lions, warriors of the waiver wire, have claimed offensive tackle Cliff Louis, reports Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Rookie wide receiver Contravious Parks has been waived to fit Louis on the 80-man roster.

Louis (6-7, 300) joins his fourth NFL franchise since going undrafted out of Morgan State in 2007. Louis spent his first season on the Cleveland Browns practice squad, and split 2008 between the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants practice squads.

Waived at the end of last year's training camp, Louis re-signed with the Giants earlier this month and was waived last week when the club signed free agent offensive lineman Shawn Andrews.
