Detroit Lions cornerback Jonathan Wade predicts that his team will go 9-7 and make the playoffs in 2010.

Detroit Lions cornerback Jonathan Wade predicts that his team will go 9-7 and make the playoffs in 2010, Carlos Monarraz of the Detroit Free Press reports.

A third-round pick out of the University of Tennessee by the St. Louis Rams in 2007, Wade also has lofty personal goals.

"I have some high, high, high goals," Wade said last month. "I'm very, very upset about the way my career has been thus far and I blame it all on me. I'm going to change it. I want to go to the Pro Bowl. I want to be somebody that's spoken highly of."

Wade has missed just one game during his three season in the NFL, but has made just six starts. Wade has 67 tackles, 15 of which on special teams, and two interceptions during his career.

St. Louis released Wade in March, and he was quickly scooped up Detroit, where the 5-10, 198-pounder is expected to compete with 2010 third-round pick Amari Spievey and Dre Bly for a starting job opposite Chris Houston.
