Jaguars Rule Out RB Maurice Jones-Drew

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that Pro Bowl running back Maurice Jones-Drew has been ruled out for Sunday's against the Houston Texans.

Jones-Drew has a knee injury that kept him out of last week's loss to the Washington Redskins, and will likely require surgery in the off-season.

The 5-8, 205-pound running back has 1,324 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground, adding 34 receptions for 317 yards and 2 touchdowns as a receiver out of the backfield.

On Tuesday, Jones-Drew was named to his second straight Pro Bowl.

The Jaguars have also ruled tight end Zach Miller (concussion) and linebacker Justin Durant (groin) for Sunday, with starting safety Courtney Greene listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.
